"What is your plan that may get Liam's memory back?" Lyra asked with excitement at the thought of the old Liam returning.
"I will recreate some of the games we played when we were children," Emma smirked and laughed.
As the sun was rising, Liam began to stir, and after a good nights sleep he felt better. He looked around the camp to see the girls had disappeared. He felt anger tingle his body and stood up and marched around the camp to see if they were hiding from him.
"Come find me, Liam. You count to ten and I will hide," A voice called to him. Liam froze in his tracks and looked around to find nobody there.
"You remember this game, don't you?" The voice questioned him. Liam frantically followed the voice, pushing through the dense shrubs.
'Why does this feel so familiar while still being unfamiliar?' Liam thought? slowly stopping.
"What do you want from me?!" Liam shouted at the voice.
"I want you to find me, silly," The voice giggled behind Liam. Liam quickly turned but found nobody.
"Why are you trying to play this silly game?" Liam asked trying to sound calm but failed.
"So you will remember," the voices said, moving along the trees.
"Remember what?" Liam shouted following the voice.
Liam was came to a small clearing with strange rock formations. Again he felt to sense of familiarity but it still felt far away. As he slowly approached the biggest rock, he noticed something.
I pair of feet were sticking out beside one of the rocks, not little ones but also not men's feet. Liam slowly and caustiously made his way to the rock. His breathing escalated and he felt weak but continued to move closer to the rock. When he got beside it, what he saw made him gasp.
It was Emma, dressed in dirty and torn rags, with a childish grin on her face.
"You found me," She squealed and jumped on top of the rock, "Shall we play another game?"
She giggled and tried to run but Liam grabbed her by the wrist and stopped her.
"Not until you tell me what the hell is going on?" Liam pratically shouted but Emma didn't even seemed phased.
"Maybe this will help you," Emma said standing on her tiptoes and tapping her index finger to the center of his forehead.
Suddenly, Liam felt lightheaded and his knees were shaky. He groaned as he grabbed his head and knelt by a rock. His head was pounding, when all of a sudden, everything went back.
*flashback*
"Tag, you're it Liam!" Emma shouted as she slapped Liam on the back gently.
Liam turned and saw Emma's gorgeous hair as she turned the corner out of the alleyway. He hurried to catch up with her, but she kept getting farther and farther away. He took a right into another alleyway, that if his calculations were right, would lead him straight to Emma.
He dodged people walking through the alleyway, and jumped over a knocked over trashcan. He rounded the corner and saw a place to wait. He smirked as he heard Emma trash talking, thinking he was behind her, and got into place.
Emma sped past the corner and ran straight into Liam, who caught her, as she gazed up at him.
"I'm so sorry," she heard him say as she realized it was Liam. Liam laughed at Emma's face slowly turning red with embarrassment.
"Liam, why did you do that?" Emma asked shoving Liam back. He snickered as she crossed her arms and glared at him.
"Sorry Em, but I couldn't help myself. You were being too predictable," Liam explained in between laughs.
This made her glare even more and Liam found himself staring at her beautiful eyes. He shook his head and put a hand on her shoulder. She looked up at him as he leaned forward, she stiffened under his hand and her eyes closed.
"Tag you're it," Liam smirked as he poked her forehead with his index finger.
Emma's eyes burst open and she stood in shock to process what just happened. Liam laughed as he kissed her on the lips. This caught her by surprise and he pressed harder. After a couple seconds he pulled back and smiled down at her.
"Come on, Em. Let us get home to some dinner," Liam said, taking Emmas hand.
*end of flashback*
Liam jerked awake as he looked around until he found the girls standing by the tree line. They looked at him with uncertainty and nervousness. He stood up and stretched and they made there way towards him.
"Are you back?" Emma asked sheepishly looking into his eyes.
"Where did I go?" Liam countered and looked at both girls.
The girls gasped and looked at each other and then started to cry as they barreled into Liam. He wrapped his arms around them as they cried, gently rubbing their backs. They pulled away and looked up at him, he just stared back at them with a smile on his handsome face. They returned the smile.
"Are you two going to explain what happened?" Liam asked.
"Well it is a long story..." Lyra answered, wiping tears from her eyes.
Before Liam could ask anymore, Emma wrapped her arms around Liam and pulled him close. She was still sniffling in his ear as he wrapped his arms around her. She pulled back and look into his eyes, as if to make sure it was him.
Suddenly, she pressed her lips to his in a passionate kiss, to make up for all the stress he had caused her. She pulled away from Liam and smiled as he just stood there shocked that she actually did that in front of Lyra.
"We will tell you over dinner," Emma answered starting to cry again.
So Liam is back! Yay! What will happen to our trio next, and when will they make it to the harbor?
