Felt safe in her company -
For a while at least.Until she opened her mouth one day
And hither came doomsday.Poison flying, fire smeltering -
Oh God, I think I'm meltingUnder her wrathful gaze.
I pray that this is just a phase. She'll be my friend again, right?
She just had a fright.Because I wanted to play with other girls.
She's not violent, she won't pull out my curls. But like a panther, she follows me.
I don't need friends, I have her company.I need her more than anyone.
She reminds me of what she has done.Pushed others aside, just for me,
I'm her assistance in the shark-filled sea. She's just looking out for me.
She's a good friend, now I see.Even if her temper is like fire,
And makes me feel as though I am burning on a pyre. And even if she makes me cry,
I must remember that it is IWho causes every slip up
She, after all, is the grown-up.She is the bestest friend I could ask for,
I'm must be grateful towards her.But snakes are alluring and hypnotic,
And I didn't realise she was toxic. So when she bit me hard,
I didn't cry.
I was mesmerized by her eyes.
