The crowd outside were happy and cheering, chanting "Garithia, Garithia!!" Praising the goddess Garathia in the light festival; the national anthem rung out and skylings sung along "Sky, sky,sky-yy we are the Sky-y-lings,"

Azealia POV

I could hear the cheerful crowd singing the national anthem, it was great to hear such a positive sound I almost forgot to feel nervous and scared for my speech. "I expect you have prepared something quick  to say," Father  said looking down at my my hands in anticipation, "Or not," he said promtly, looking up and striding on to the cloud of gold. I felt my stomach back-flip, Father was right, I hadn't prepared anything at all, I was so scared?! The crowd quietened when Father emerged from behind the cloud, gold mist showered him as if he was a God.

"Good-afternoon to the skylings of the world, today is the special day where we should all praise Garithia and celebrate in her name!" Father boomed across the nation, "I will recite a piece from the ancient script of Gilar, as we all know he one of the first skylings on the sky world and he also witnessed Garithia on the cloud of gold. Reah lo mas de favaloahh yureh asefu na suqal methyse...." Father continued to recite the script in the Garithian language, few knew how to speak it, though most understood it. I could feel the atmosphere dampen as father droned on; I used to love listen to him speak Garithian it had a hypnotic soothing effect on me, now he bores me and I no longer get that soothing effect anymore. Finally Father had finished, I could hear low mumbling amongst the crowd.

It was my turn to say a speech, my heart rate quickened and I was almost shaking, a sudden feeling a warmth ran through me and I was calm, You are ready my child a soft voice echoed in my head, I was confused, who was the voice in my head? I didn't have any time to re-think what had happen it was time to go on the cloud of silver to say my speech. I entered the silvery mist and was met by a warm cheering crowd, I could feel their happiness radiating in the sky and I no longer felt worried, a sense of knowing and confidence flooded through me and I was now ready.

"Hello, hello skylings, I am happy to see you all, Garithia has blessed you greatly and.." I started and was interrupted by loud cheering, I was overwhelmed but humbled by their appreciation, I let out a small chuckle and continued. " We are here today in remembrance of our creator Garithia, may we rejoice and fill our hearts with happiness in her beautiful kingdom!" I said on cue for for a roar of cheers.

"This morning I wasn't really prepared for what I was going to say today, I hand't planned or performed anything, needless to say of course I was worried, I hadn't found out I was saying the second speech until today." I paused for effect while the crowd looked at me wide-eyed in awe, "Though now I stand here I can feel the words flow out of my mouth easily, I take it Garathia didn't want me to prepare, it is her festival and everything I say is coming from the heart as I speak. I believe she has unlocked a key in my soul and in your souls too." A few people whistled and cheered, however most stayed silent, I continued, "I will retell a poem my Mother the queen used to tell me as a little girl before Father said his speech on the cloud of gold every light festival;

The skies were once dark and gloomy,

filled with mist and splinterred stars;

the broken stars were sad and longed to be put back together again,

amongst the broken stars a small but whole star rose from her broken friends,

The star was called Garithia and lit up the dark skies wherever she was,

Though her friends, broken and still sad, would never roam bright in the skies again,

Garithia felt lonely and no longer happy when her friends weren't able to experience the same fun as her,

With all the power in her, she conjured up a plan involving the broken, shattered stars,

She gathered all the broken stars in a ring around Earth,

With all the light and warmth inside of her she exploded and spread like wild fire across the ring on broken stars,

She engulfed them and the sky was a filled with gold mist,

Garathia was no longer a star but a beautiful tall woman,

And her soul shone brighter than the Sun,

The broken stars rejoiced and out of the gold misty skies summoned a cloud of gold,

They said "Garithia on this cloud bless the magnificent skies you have created,"

The skies weren't all gold anymore but the spirits of the newly combined stars mingled with the mist

She blessed the cloud of gold and till this day we skylings still stand on the broken stars today.

Everyone went dead stone silent, I wasn't sure if I'd said something bad in my speech, I couldn't take the embarrassment and rushed off the cloud of silver. The crowd erupted and there was a roar of cheers, slowly they all started chanting "Azealia! Azealia! Azealia!". I was shocked and surprised, I had totally misjudged their moment of silence for something bad, I could honestly say I had never felt such a great feeling of appreciation ever in my life.

I looked around to Mother and she was almost crying, tears of happiness of course, she pulled me into a heart warming hug squeezing me slightly in the process; over her shoulder I saw Father he had a stone expression on his face, he locked eyes with me and gave me the worst look a Father could ever give to their daughter. I pulled away from Mother abruptly, she sensed my tension, "What's wrong my princess?" she said in a soothing but questioning tone using my baby nickname, "it's Fath-" I'm glad I didn't finish the sentence, on cue Father strode in and embraced me in a bear hug he whispered menacingly in my ear "Olah nemoi kayaj!" he spoke Garithian but I couldn't understand the words he had said. After that he went on stage again to thank all the skylings for listening greatly to the speeches and being present on the Light festival, with that the crowd departed and went out to their celebration venues.

King's POV

I am furious with Azealia how could she have said that speech with no practice and on top of that I put a curse on her so she would fail and disappoint the crowd of skylings. Urghh the crowd were cheering for her like she was the greatest person on the Sky world, I am, and soon she will know that I am the great, the one and only God of the skylings. When I pulled her into a hard hug I whispered a harsh curse on her in Garithian that she would never know, revenge will be sweet...
