I could have sworn I saw my entire life flash before my eyes. Everything that I'd ever done, good or bad, came rushing back.

I could hear the many voices of my sweet baby girl, but they were slowly starting to fade away. I felt myself slipping away.

Maybe that was the feeling my Uncle Lem was talking about, maybe I was seeing the same light he had saw. I only hoped I didn't get to see what was waiting for me on the other side.

Squeezing my eyes as tight as I could, I hoped and prayed that I wasn't a goner, but the excruciating pain told me other wise.

As I felt the gushing of blood ooze from my wound, I applied as much pressure as I could to stop the bleeding, but it was no use. Then suddenly, everything went black...
