Saving Grace

Chapter 2

Hello to anyone anyone who reads this, I GOT 9 READS!!!! Yeah I know that sounds wimpy but I was so not expecting that, I was expecting 2 or 3 so thank you!!! Shout out to Pumpkn1211 and BrianneAW you both are awesome and really encouraged me to start this. Sorry about that tiny cliffhanger thing, if you even care. It was probably really obvious.

Chapter 2

Grace

I see Mystery Man from 30 minutes earlier. Sitting in a chair in plain sight, apparently engrossed in "13 Reasons Why" I go and sit down across from him and knock on the table, getting his attention.

"Hey Grace," he says without looking up "You good?"

"No, I am not good," I say with my scariest voice and if I do say so myself, it is pretty darn scary.

"How did you know about... it," I prompt, caution in my voice. He finally set down the book and gave me his full attention. It felt like he was dissecting me with his eyes and slowly examining my insides. 

"I know how to look." 

"What does that mean?"

'I'll give you the whole story, my little sister, as I found out later was being constantly bullied, to the point of attempting suicide, luckily I got home before she could and we got through it together, that is what I plan to do with you." 

"I am going to save you Grace, I don't know what happened to you in the past but I will help you through it all," he says with a sincere look on his face. I knew that this wouldn't last long, he was cute enough to catch the attention of Queen Bee and the Clones, they would obviously make their move, and he would go to the 'popular' table and leave me alone to die alone. Then he would be showcased as one of the Queen's toys. But what if he stays?  An annoying voice in the back of my head keeps nagging me. He won't stay, no one does. No one ever stays.

"Are you coming?" he asks completely aware that he was pulling me from my thoughts. I shoot him a glare.

"Yeah, I'm coming. You go without me I've got some stuff to finish up,"

"Okay, I'll stay with you,"

"You know what, lets just go now," I say frustration woven through my words. Dang it, he didn't fall for it, next time I'll just have to try harder. We were now walking towards the door and he holds it open for me and I mumble a quick thank you. We turn the corner and I see Clone 1, Clone 2 and Queen Bee. I shiz, I knew this was going to happen one way or another. As always they leave once they see them. 

"Hey, Hot Stuff,  I don't think I have seen you around." Says Queen Bee, I think her name is Bonnie, I don't really know.

Like I said before, He won't stay, no one does. No one ever stays...
