Long Time No See

"Come on kids! We are going to Ohio to see Grandpa!" Kurt yelled up the stairs to his kids. His son, Adam, and his daughter, Isabella, ran down the stairs. "We ready to go?" The kids nodded and they grabbed their bags and got into the car.
It was only Kurt, Adam and Isabella because Blaine was in the military like Finn was. They had started drafting men again and Blaine, sadly, was one of them. Kurt would never forget that day.

"Blaine! You got a letter!" Blaine ran down the steps and took it. He slowly opened it up as Kurt went into the kitchen, going through the rest of the mail.
   "Kurt?" He heard Blaine call.
"Yea?" He waited for a reply. When he didn't get one, he went back into the living room. "What is it?" He didn't get a response. Blaine just stood there, frozen. He was just reading the letter over and over again.
   "Blaine...what's wrong?" He stepped closer.
"I-I got drafted...." Kurt's heart almost stopped.
   "You...you what?"
"I got drafted. I have to go to war" at that point, they broke down. They were relieved that the kids were at a friend's house at that moment. Then until the time Blaine left, they spent every second together with the kids. Kurt took off work for the month Blaine had before going. The day Blaine left was the saddest day for Kurt. The kids weren't old enough to understand, kurt was glad.

Kurt sighed and pulled out of the driveway and started driving to the airport. Kurt and Blaine had lived in New York before the kids were born, but they thought they should go somewhere safer until the kids were old enough. When Blaine got the recording record, they packed up and moved to LA.
When they got to the airport, they went through security and such, then got onto the plane. Adam and Isabella both slept on the plane, but Kurt read. He could only fall asleep when Blaine sang to him, so he didn't even try.
When they landed, they got their luggage and found Burt's car and walked quickly to it. Kurt got in the passenger seat and the kids got in the back.
"Hey dad" Kurt smiled and buckled himself in. Burt started driving home.
"Hey kid. How's everything?" Kurt sighed.
"Hard...I mean it's been four months since he left. I have no clue if he's alive or anything"
"Kurt, he's fine. You don't have to worry about anything. He's small, that's an advantage. He can hide in small places and such. I'm sure he's fine."
   "But what if-"
"Kurt. He's fine." After that, the subject was dropped and a new one was brought up. An hour later, they finally got to the house. He saw three cars in the driveway. He knew Rachel and Mercedes were there and the third car looked like Sam's, but he wasn't sure.
They all got out of the car and carried the stuff in. They went into the house and it seemed to be a party. Kurt was confused, why would there be a party? And why was there so many people? Rachel ran up to him.
"So, Kurt, we know how hard these past months have been for you, so we have a surprise for you" Kurt tilted his head slightly to the side.
"A surprise? Rachel, I only want one thing and that's-" he cut himself off when he saw someone in the doorway.
"B-Blaine?!" Kurt's eyes widened. Blaine smiled wide.
"It's me." He opened his arms. Kurt ran and hugged him tight. Blaine chuckled and hugged him tightly. Kurt finally pulled away and actually looked at him.
Blaine had scars and bruises all over his face. He was sure that Blaine had more all over his body. But Kurt would worry about that later. He just hugged his husband again, but this time he wouldn't let go.

Let me just say, this one sucked. I have seen the army Klaine fics everywhere and thought I would try one. So I know all of these one shots have been somewhat happy. Do you guys want me to do some sad ones? Or just happy? Let me know! Hope you enjoyed.
