Chapter Twenty

As I i got dressed my phone kept buzzing with messages and posts and tweets from friends and family saying happy birthday. It was nice, one defiantly stood out though..

Dear my amazing daughter Claudia Anne Merheb.

You are now officially an adult, thank you for being an amazing daughter for us over the last 18 years, it was lovely having you cry, sook, laugh, scream, get angry and be happy, you defiantly are the moodiest person I've ever met in my life, but I love you always.

My first born, my only girl and my little princess is now apart of the big scary world, I'm going to miss you coming to me when you needed to cry, I'm going to miss you giving me tight hugs and I'm going to miss your humour, you haven't moved out yet and I already am speaking about it. I love you always.

I hope you're enjoying your holiday and I'm so sorry for what has happened to you, it isn't your fault. I wish I could give you cuddles right now and tell you it isn't the end of the world. I love you always.

No amount of numbers could tell you how much I love you, it is indescribable, thank you my beautiful daughter for being the most amazing daughter possible. I've truly been blessed, happy birthday bubba! Even though in Australia your birthdays already passed ahaha I kept the time in Italy on my phone so I could send a message to you on your birthday over there! xx

My mum is amazing, I truly looked up to her. She had to raise my brother and I by herself until she met my step dad joe. They had a child together and they are truly in love. I wiped my tears and started getting dress, I put on a short dress that was a coral red, I curled my hair and pinned it into a side bun, I had medium eyeliner on with mascara, I put my 'eternity' perfume on, I smelt like flowers, I quite liked it.

I cleaned up my mess and opened the bathroom door. I paused, my mouth dropped. 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLAUDIA!' I hear everyone scream in-synced. I blushed and started jumping and clapping my hands. 'Aw you guys! Thank you all so much!' I said almost crying. The room looked gorgeous, they cleaned up all the mess from last night, they blew up balloons and threw them all over the floor, on top of my bed they had a sign in Italian I'm assuming saying happy birthday but it didn't matter because it all looked amazing anyway. They had all my presents on my bed, and trust me there was a lot and everyone dressed so nicely. Jack and Karlie went matching, jack wore a blue t-shirt with black jeans with white converse, it looked nice. Karlie wore a long blue dress with a black coat, she looked fairly gorgeous as always. Justin wore a SnapBack with creamy colored chinos and a black t-shirt, jade wore a floral strapless dress that went down to her knees, she looked beautiful. Tim wore a white ' I (heart) Italian food' shirt with shorts that had pizzas on them, it was hilarious typical Tim. Amy wore a red boobtube top with a black high waisted shorts she looked stunning too. Calum wore black converses with black skinny jeans and a black t-shirt with a grey jacket, he looked hot. That rebel look a girl always wants. He and I made lots eye contact but I still can't help but feel weird about my dream last night.

'You all look stunning, I got told to dress fancy. Where are we going?' I asked whilst taking a Panadol for my headache. 'Were going to eat at the pancake palace on the Main Street, we will then come back and get changed into comfortable clothes and head to your favorite place.' Amy said intwining her fingers with Tim's. 'Okay cool, does that mean aaaaaaaany comfortable clothing?' I asked amy knowing she hated my clothes, I don't know why she hates my casual clothes, just because they were dark? Calum loved my clothes, I guess it was cause we had the same style. 'fine.' She said rolling her eyes.

We had breakfast at the pancake palace, boy do those things fill you right up. All the couples held hands with each other, Justin and jade are so happily in love it's gorgeous, the way they look into each other's eyes is so adorable, they've never had a big argument which I find amazing. Karlie and Jack were even cuter, jack grabbed karlies hand and kissed her on the cheek, and told her that she is beautiful, they defined true love, not the ones you find in fairytales, but the real love. They argue sometimes, they cry sometimes but nothing compares to when they are happy together, everyone stops and admires that kind of love they share, it is absolutely beautiful. The type of love that every person wants, but not every person gets. Amy and Tim just look at each other and he just grabs her closer and tells her jokes, she loves his jokes. She could listen to them all day. I'm so glad she is happy.

All the couples stood in front of Calum and I, we really looked like the odd ones out. We weren't holding hands, or anything. I found it way to awkward to talk to him after my dream last night, I mean it felt so real.

I was on my phone facebooking and Calum was on his phone too, he sent me a message saying :

Hey, are you alright? You're a bit distant with me today. Why? Callyboobear xx

Yeah I'm fine. I just needed space. Why are you messaging me when you're standing right next to me.

I kept looking down at my phone like he said, we slowed me down a bit until we stopped. 'May I look up now?' I questioned. 'If you must.' He replied to me as he turned to face me, I see that beautiful smile of his, his such a gorgeous boy. His eyes locked mine and I got lost in his beautiful hazel eyes, I was hoping he would just kiss me. 'I-... um.. I- l...' He mumbles. 'Yes calum? You um?' I replied with a small smile hoping to stop him from being nervous. 'I.. uh.. I just wanted to uh... Wish you a happy birthday. I know I've said it already but I just wanted to say it again..' He says as he presses his sweet lips on my cheek. I couldn't help but feel disappointed. 'Oh thanks.' I said giving a weak smile. 'Its okay, well anyway. Do you remember anything from last night?' He asked me as we started walking again. 'No, all I remember is having dinner with you and we had a few drinks then I remember waking up this morning with an aching headache... Do you remember anything?' I questioned. 'Yeah, you kept crying and saying how much you hate will and what his done to you. Then you kept telling me that you want me to kiss you..' He awkwardly replied and looked at me in the eyes. 'Do you want me to kiss you?' He questioned me.

'What? Psh no. Why would I want that?' I said lying through my teeth. 'Because, according to your drunk self you are falling in love with me.' He said moving closer to me. 'Thats crazy.' Is it crazy? I can barely admit it to myself, I won't admit it to him. 'Its not crazy Claudia. Like I told you, when you're ready.' He gave me a smile, I could see it in his eyes he wanted to know how I felt but I could not possibly tell him. 'I know, I'm sorry.' I said as we both caught up with our friends.

We got back to the hotel to get changed, I opened Calums present as I was instructed too. It was tickets for all of us to go to Venice for three days, I believe I nearly cried, before I even got to say thank you everyone started re-packing their suite cases. I was dress in my black and white genie pants and a black singlet saying 'beware I am the bitch' it was a pretty cool top if I say so myself.

Everyone made way to our cars taking us to Venice except cal and I, we stayed behind for a little. 'Thank you Calum so much, it means a lot!' I said giving him a hug and a kiss on the cheek. 'Its okay, I have a surprise for tonight!' He implied quite excitedly. 'Oh really?' I said wiggling my eye brows. 'You wait!' He said putting his forehead on mine, our lips were nearly touching. I really want him to kiss me, but I just can't let him.

I look down at the ground, he pulls his head away from mine. I look back up to see him with a saddened look on his face. I felt really bad, i didn't want to hurt his feelings.

We caught the first boat out to Venice, it was a beautiful view from a far and an even better view up close. The beautiful buildings with clothes lines hanging across, it was gorgeous. I still can't believe were here, I can't ever thank Calum enough.
