Chocolate and Cheese Part One

This is going to be one of the most difficult pieces of literature I've ever written, but it has to happen. I have to tell people about this. I've been having these extremely weird experiences lately, and I honestly need to confide in the loving embrace of others, and, since I can't do that, I must restort to writing it all down into a book with the hopes that maybe somebody will read it and be intrigued. The first time I ever experienced the absolute mind fuck that was the band Ween, I was 16 years old and absolutely bored. I messaged my friend and asked for some recommendations of some music that would be really worth listening to, and they sent me to the band Ween. Before I get into just what exactly Ween is, I have to explain what my music genre preference was at the time. I am a massive rock fan, and through that, I was just looking for anything with a message. I loved aggressive music, in particular punk rock, as well as the occasional metal band. However, I would be open to any and all music recommendations, and I took almost all of them to heart. As such, when my friend said that Ween would "blow my mind", I was struck with anticipation to try this out. I went to a music downloading sight and looked up a Ween album. The album that I looked up was called Chocolate and Cheese. I have realized over the course of my life that the more weird an album sounds, the more weird the music is. I am a big fan of weird music though, as most of the music I listen to has some form of strange protestant message. Anyways, I put in my head phones and played the album while I was playing my video games. The first song was pretty lame in my opinion, lots of repetitiveness, but the singer's voice was pretty normal. The second song..... That's when shit started to get weird. There was this absolutely strange synchronized voice mix up, and I was so confused as to what they were saying. One of them spoke in a deep tone, the other spoke in this high pitched almost baby like voice. They were saying something like, "Am I gonna see got mommy? Am I gonna die? It really hurts mommy, am I gonna die?", And at this point I was wondering what the fuck this actually was. I kept listening though because it was still vaguely mesmerizing. The next song was really smooth. It was one voice this time, and it was of this really smooth high pitched voice of a guy saying all these weird things again, only this time it wasn't dark at all, it was very pleasant, but weird. The lyrics that stuck to me the most were when he said "a hoe on South Street, high off of tricks. Little girls picking up sticks.", And the main hook of the song was of the voive saying "freedom of 76", which I assumed at the name of the song, and I later on found out that I was right. There was this one part in the song where the voice went so high that I was wondering how someone could display that much vocal power and also maintain the smoothness of the song and balance it out perfectly. The next song was very tropical sounfing song. The lyrics were no better than the last one. What I think was a different voice was singing this song, and most of the noises seemed almost impossible to make in my opinion. It was obvious that this band had put a whole lot of effort into their craft, and I respected that. The lyrics were something along the lines of "is it green, is it red, is it alive or is it dead? I can't put my finger on it.", And the hook was particularly weird, "are you surprised when I touched the drawf inside?" The next song was an absolute delight. It was the smoothest song I'd ever heard. There were no lyrics, and this song was so good I had to look up the name of it so that I could download it individually. It was called "A Tear for Eddie", which had me questioning who Eddie was. At the very peak of the song, the guitar reminded me of a rocket blasting off with the amount of shear force and emotion put into it, and it was so powerful. The fact that there were no lyrics at all added to the beauty of this song. The next song was very whimsical and trippy just like all of the others, and I was taken back to a simpler time that I had never even been in with this song. It was the synchronized voices this time. I had deducted at this point that it was two voices, and at this point I was loving this band. The chorus was of the two voices saying "don't forget to understand exactly what you put on the tree", and "don't believe the florist when he tells you that the roses were free", and all of this symbolism in their lyrics really got me thinking. One of the lyrics in this song that stood out the most to me was when they said "resist all the urges that make you want to go out and kill", which gave it a slightly darker tone, and I loved every single second of it. The next song was extremely sad and also trippy. This time the lyrics weren't repetitive really, other than the chorus, like a normal song. There was also a hint of aggression for someone in this song, as the chorus was the two synchronized voices saying "baby baby baby bitch", followed with a different second line depending on the verse. The best one was the last one where they said "baby baby baby bitch. Fuck you you stinkin ass hoe. Most beauty I've seen, you come from a dream, but I can't close my eyes anymore." It was an acoustic kind of song but with added trippy noises. The next song was one of the trippiest ones. It was like butter to the ears, and it was like drugs to the ears. Lyrics included, "mister won't you please help my pony. He's over there behind the tree", and, "he can't talk because he's a pony. I think it's his lung." I have to close this out for now, I think I'm being followed, I'll continue this tomorrow.
