Afghanistan was terrible place. I was sent on army terms to get all the peoole i could to a safe place. As soon as I realized what I was dealing with I didnt know if I could do it. In Afghanistan its close to 100 degrees everyday and I have to wear a fully protective suit and run in it. That made it twice as bad. I had been studying for close to 2 years and what you rwad in books is just scraping the surface.
The Talliban that inhabits most of Afghanistan are killers of anyone who disagrees with anything they say. Just last week they killed a whole washinton full of men, and took all the women and children.
My mission was to get an important family from where they live now to a new house far away from where they are now. There was a mom, dad, and 3 children that made up this family. When I saw the family fro the first time I noticed that they were American. The wife had long blonde hair, pale blue eyes that showed everything that she was feeling, She had a small biuld that showed she wasnt more than 130 lbs. and she was only about 5'6. She reminded me of my wonderful fiancé at home. Jane. She was so good to me. She was even sitting at home waiting for me.
The womans small children had visible bruises and cut marks from their Afghanistanian father. He looked like an abusive father just from glancing at them. I now understood what my job was.
Their father was a part of the taliban and there mother was trying to raise children the right way, and get them to a safe place so that they could live, and thrive, and have kids of their own. I couldnt help but feel something for this family. A sort of connection that I never really felt before.
My parents both died when I was 9 and I was sent to a foster home. I was lucky enough to be adopted by one of the most wealthy people on the east coast. Mr. and Mrs. Hartman. They loved me just the same as my original parents did. They came to all my football, baseball, soccer, and swimmimg games and competitions. But, I guess simce I had never had a really bad family experience other than my parents dying then I felt a tie to these peoole and a duty to help them. They were my new Afghanistan family. And since I would be spending the next 6 months trying to save them from their husband and father I needed to stay focused.
I followed them around from afar and made sure the kids and mother went about a normal casual day safely. The mom noticed me and decided to come and talk to me. In our native tounge thankfully.
"why are you following my family?"
"I am here to protect your family and get you away from here."
" we dont need help. we are doing fine right here."
but I insisted and answered, "Ma'am I can see bruises from your husband on your children and I can tel that your not happy here. You would like to give your kids a new and better life right?" I asked and continued talking until she interrupted me. " Sir thanks for your kindness but my husband and I are married and even if he rapes many other women, I still and his wife and have a connection and obligation to him. We have 3 children and he may beat them but he thinks its their fault. And sometimes its mine and I get beat too. But, if we leave he will find us and kill us and our family. So thanks but no thanks." I felt as if I had already failed my mission and should call it quits. But I couldnt do that.
I told the mom to meet me at a specific place in the town at 11:00 tonight. I didnt know how I was going to convince her what was best for her and her family. But I had a thought.
I brought food in a huge Afghanistan basket and gave it to her and told her that if her family didnt let the Americas help them get to a better spot and help them have a beter life with education and food I would have to use force. She then caved in but in a different way. She began getting atop my lap and feeling my body up and down. I was forced to stop her and tell her about my fiancé at home. She felt very dirty and decided to leave. I escorted her home safely and made sure to remind her that her plane leaves for America at 10 in the morning tomorrow. I didnt want to tell her what would happen next.
We have to kill her husband.
The next morning we woke up got her family on the plane and proceeded to watch her husband, but one night as we were doing rounds I was walking to our hide out house and was captured. It was dark, my head hurt and I didnt know where I was.
