Chapter 21 - Danger
I woke up on Tuesday morning, realising that I hadn’t had the nightmare that I normally had when Will was present. I was starting to believe the things he’d told me about my dream, that perhaps it was triggered by the fact that I was stressed out, or intoxicated, and my body had sensed a threat. But not last night. I had finally felt at peace with Will, I felt safe there in his arms, in his embrace, and I felt closer to him than I’d ever felt before.
It had also occurred to me that his arms were still wrapped around me, but not like before. This time I could feel his cool skin pressed against mine, instantly sending sparks of electricity throughout my body at the realisation of his mere touch. I could also feel that his chest was bare. He must have removed half of his clothes in the night and snuggled up to me there under the covers. I couldn’t help but feel just a slight bit turned on at that realisation, not being able to help the smile which threatened to pull at the sides of my mouth.
“Miranda you don’t understand how tempting the back of your neck looks right now. You know, that greasy hair look, so inviting. And your scent, so sweaty, so groggy...” He noted, clearly having been aware that I was now awake. I realised just how sarcastic he was being, which made me giggle and wriggle around in his arms, turning to face him. He was grinning so wildly, and man did he look hot first thing in the morning, lying there in a pair of black silk boxers. I think that this was the first time I’d ever seen his naked chest; perfectly sculptured muscles, and a six pack, no, easily an eight pack. Oh god...
And then I noticed that he was also checking me out, lying here, so vulnerable in my bra and my…oh shit. I looked down, freaking at what undies I’d last put on, hoping that they weren’t some embarrassing Disney ones or something...phew. Luckily I was wearing black leopard print panties. Probably a little bit too sexy for my liking, but less embarrassing than kids themed.
I looked back up into Will’s eyes and noticed that his pupils had dilated somewhat and he was staring right at me with so much lust and what I’d sensed as hunger filling his eyes, as if he wanted to devour me right there and then. I couldn’t help but feel a slight bit anxious at that thought.
Before I knew it he’d pinned me down on the bed, and was hovering over me, my arms pinned up above my head. He moved his face down to the cavity of my neck and just hovered there for a moment. His cool lips had brushed my skin gently, sending small tingles and goose bumps across it, causing an accidental moan of pleasure to escape my lips. I couldn’t help it, his very touch had made me melt, and I didn’t feel the least bit scared there anymore, trapped under a vampire’s hungry hold. Will just chuckled into my neck at my reaction, knowing that he had the upper hand now, knowing that he had seduced me without hardly even touching me.
“You should probably take a shower, you’re scent isn’t as appealing as it normally is.” He whispered cheekily into my ear, quite seductively, before abruptly releasing the grip on my wrists and jumping up off of me, now standing beside the bed. He briefly looked me up and down with a cocky smile, before turning and strutting out of the room.
Oh god. Why did I have to let him know that he had that sort of hold over me? I must have seemed so pathetic. And he just left me there, hanging. Why did he have to be so god damned hot? AND forbidden? I think that was what probably had turned me on the most.
