"HOW COULD YOU TWO LET THIS HAPPEN?!?!?!?!" Maya screams
"I'm sorry, he ran off and by the time we found him he was already by Chad and was swinging the first punch and when I tried prying farkle off of Chad he made me let go and kept swinging by the time he was knocked out zay had finally got there and helped me get farkle that's when we came here" I replied trying to not tick off my blonde beauty.....
Oh no, she is being wayyy to quiet
"Maya?" Zay asked nervously
"I'm so dead" Maya whispered

That's when mr Matthews stepped in " what do you mean by that Maya"

"I MEAN IM NOT SAFE WITH CHAD" and with that my short-stack of pancakes ran out of the room with Riley close behind

Maya(pov)
I have to run
I'm not safe here
I need to leave
These thoughts raced around in my mind as I frantically raced through the halls of Abigail Adams high school....I ran and ran till I finally got Riley off my tail and found my way home.
I quickly run inside and grab a suitcase and my bookbag and pack everything I need including clothes,phone,phone charger,money ,etc. when I was finally done I heard Riley yelling from from downstairs I quickly lock my bedroom door and started to make my escape down the fire escape.

Zay(pov)
As soon as Riley is fully out of the room I run after and eventually catch up then pass Riley.
After about 20 min I stop at Maya's door.
Riley comes running up and pulls out a key
"I'm now very glad I kept this after all these years" Riley said and that's when I came up with a plan and told Riley
"So here's what we're gonna do..."

Riley(pov)
So zay told me to go In and start yelling for Maya so that's what I do

Maya(pov)
As soon as I get back to the street from the fire escape and I think this is the last time I'm gonna be here or at least for a long time
That's when I here
"Wanna here a great group story" I hear a male voice say
Uh oh
I turn around to face a very angry zay
"MAYA WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO RUN!?!?"
"Zay I'm sorry it's ju-"
"No don't sorry me, you were just gonna leave us after everything, you thought you could run really run from your PROBLEMS?!?!?!"
"I'm sorry" I say in a low whisper
"I'm sorry Maya I shouldn't have yelled"
With that I started crying when I felt two people wrap there arms around me I look up to see zay and Riley and that only made me sob more knowing I would've left my best friends behind just to get away from some problems

We are all sitting at the bay window in complete silence
Your probably wondering how we got here well let me explain
~~~~~~~~~~~~1 hour ago~~~~~~~~~~~~~

We all were explaining everything that had gone down in the last 2 hours at the Matthews house and scared that Maya is to far gone to care.
I can't help but think about her all by herself in the cold rain
And I also
I can't believe after all this time we hadn't noticed Maya's change in behavior,I can't help but blame myself
My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the door opening to reveal a wet Zay ,Riley and......MAYA?!?!?!
"MAYA?!?!?!?!?!?!?!" I look over to see Ava getting up from where her and Auggie were
Playing And running to the wet blonde with a book-bag on that stayed standing in the doorway
"Ava " Maya replies picking up the young child
Everyone look in shock at the blonde in the doorway Zay and Riley had moved out of the way as they went to get towels to try off and a towel for Maya
That when I notice that Maya has a suitcase sitting up next to her before I can ask i hear Mrs.Matthews
"Maya where have you been "

Maya(pov)
I walk in completely soaked and still thinking when my thoughts are interrupted by a screaming Lucas and a running and screaming Ava who I decide to pick up and hug, that when I hear the one voice that I listen to the most
"Maya where have you been" Mrs Matthews demanded
Now I'm scared
"A...at...umm...my house" I mange to say still shivering from the cold rain and my now wet clothes
That's when Riley and Zay finally come back in the room and hand me towel, strangely enough they are both quiet until
"Who wants to hear a great Maya story?"
Ofc it's Zay
"NOBODY nobody what's to hear a me story"
That when I drag Zay and Riley to the bay window with Farkle,Lucas, even Smackle not far behind

Riley(pov)
Maya just pulled me and Zay  into my room and locked the door before anyone else could get through the door
"Don't tell them anything" Maya demanded
"Why" Zay asked curiously yet cautiously
"Because if they find out I was gonna run its only gonna make matters worse"
"I will only agree if you tell me why you were gonna run in the first place" I said demandingly
She nods
"Here's why"

The awkward silence is killing me our group has never been this quiet especially in the bay window so that's when I spoke up
"Soooooooo Gu-"
"Zayyy" Maya said in a warning tone getting me to shut up
"MAYA TELL US ALREADY" I jump as I realize it's Lucas..Texas Lucas
"THERE IS NOTHING TO TELL SO STOP HUCKLEBERRY"
"EVEN ZAY SHUT UP THAT MEANS SOMETHING IS UP"
" ok that's just rude" I interjected
"SHUT UP" the both said as anger as I ever have seen either of them ever before
"LUCAS THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU"
"Did you just call me Lucas?" I'm surprised she is the only one who gets him from'Texas Lucas' to 'moral compass'
"That's how you know I'm not kidding" Maya says with what seems to be...hurt? In her voice

"Farkle stop you have done enough"
"OH SORRY I KNOCKED OUT YOUR FREAKING ABUSIVE BROTHER!!!!!!"
That's when mr.and Mrs.Matthew's come running in
"WHAT?!?!?!?!?!" They yell in unison
"Fine I give in I will explain everything"
Everybody lets out a breath we all didn't know we were holding "in the morning"
"That's fair, it's been a long day,boys in the living room or auggies room and girls in here" Mrs.Matthew's says sternly "and we will talk in the morning"
"Ok"we all reply knowing that there is no arguing with Mrs. Matthews
