Now on the subject of ninth graders, they are the newbies of the school "fresh meat" if you will, some ninth graders will be nervous on the first day because of the so called phrase and other ninth graders won't, it really depends who you are.
If you are a ninth grader and are making new friends or have friends I suggest staying with what you feel comfortable with, don't force yourself to like something that your friends don't, for example. Let's just say you like to sing and want to join choir, but your friends aren't doing it and you think they'll ditch you or something like that, if you want to join choir than you join choir, maybe your friends will too you never know.
Also don't force yourself to do so many things at once, but if you want to totally fine, just try and limit yourself with what you feel like you can do, when I say limit I mean, don't join choir for example and then join band and the debate club or any other club, cause maybe your going into a new space that you never been before, new experiences, new friends maybe, new teachers. It can really stress a person out.
All I'm saying is for a "newbie" be you and don't stress yourself out with anything.
