Sudden shaking of the ship woke the man up. He quickly shot his eyes open and saw that they were headed into a large storm.

"Um, hey. Ghost? There's a storm." He said with panic in his voice.

"Don't worry. It won't harm us, the traveler made it to keep the Darkness out." The ghost replied to him.

"The traveler? What's that?" The man asked with curiosity.

"You will be told everything soon enough. Patience, first you need to go to the Vanguard." The ghost joyfully said to him.

"Right," the Man looked down upon the large city. "Are there other cities?"

"I'm afraid not, the city you see before you is the last city." The ghost responded. The ship began to rise up higher, suddenly a very large and futuristic tower came into view, it's windows creating a glare from the sun. The man observed the very large building, he looked at the top and saw a park like area, with some grass and a large tree.

"What's up there?" The man pointed to the top.

"Oh, the tower is where the Guardians live, the top is where the Guardians get together and look for missions or to talk to the vanguard." The ghost said to him. The ship rose up to the park, revealing several people wearing armor like himself. Some looked up at the ship, some continued on with their daily routines.

"Transmitting you down, once you're down there, head to the vanguard." The ghost said to him. The man looked down and watched his body begin to disappear into the tiny blue cubes once again.

Once his body fully manifested back into his physical form again, he fell to his knees. He grabbed his helmet and ripped it off his head, as it flew through the air, it too dissolved into tiny blue cubes. The man felt sick to his stomach and he could barely breath. He slowly sat down and looked at his hands.

"You're new around here aren't you?" A voice said.

"It's easy to tell, falling over after your first transmit is common." Other voice told him.

"My name is Wolf." A man wearing armor with a long cloak told the man.

"Name's Ace." The other, almost wearing the exact same thing except he had a strong Scottish accent. They both held out their hands, offering help. The man took both of their hands and got up.

"Holy crap, you're heavy as fuck." Wolf said laughing a little.

"You must be a Titan. Big, bulky bastards are always big." Ace added.

"I'm looking for the vanguard. You know where they are?" The man asked them.

"Yea, follow us." They both said at the same time. The man blinked at them as they started to walk towards a staircase leading down, deeper into the giant tower. The began to run, panicking, the man ran after them. He passed by a mirror and stopped, taking a few steps back and inspected himself. He had short brown hair, one blue eye and the other looked like ice, he rubbed under his eye curiously.

"What happened?" He asked himself.

"Oi! Let's go!" Ace said to him, the rest of his body around the corner. The man nodded and started after him.

They turned the corner and saw a large room with a giant table with maps and papers all over it. Three armored beings stood around it. One, a hooded robot, the larger one was a strange blue skinned person with glowing eyes an the finally person was a black female with a shaved head, wearing robes as if she was a scholar of some sort. The hooded one looked over as they descended the stairs.

"Welcome guardians! Is this a new addition to our big happy family?" His voice sounded robotic.

"Aye sir, found him on the floor, about to puke his fuckin guts out." Ace said chuckling.

"Ace, I really wish you would control your language more often." The black female said.

"Guardian, my name is Commnader Zavala. Do you know your name?" The blue being said to the man.

"I...I can't remember. I'm sorry sir." The man said as he looked down. Suddenly he heard footsteps coming towards him. He looked up and saw the robot looking him in the eyes. They stared at each other for short moment.

"Frost! That's your new name." Cayde said. The man, now named "Frost" looked at him with confusion.

"Um, why?" Frost asked him.

"Your eye, it looks like an ice sphere. So what better name than Frost?" Cayde said to him with a smug look.

"Alright, so what now?" Frost smiled a little.

"Now you must train to fight the darkness. And not just the Darkness, but a certain rogue group of Guardians killing off our guardians. The Dark Guardians." Zavala said.

"Um, first, what the hell happened to the world?" Frost asked the Vanguard, trying to remember what had happened.

Cayde walked over and put an arm over Frost's shoulder, "Oh have I got a story for you." As Cayde began to tell the story of how the world came to the wasteland they now see, the two Vanguard looked at eachother.

"I see something special in that Titan, don't you?"

"Yes, I believe he is going to save the Guardians from destruction."
