Patient name: Daniel James Howell
Birthday: June 11, 1991
Comments: Daniel was wrongly accused of murdering his best friend and lover, Phillip Michael Lester. Phillip Lester had suffered many years with depression and never got help. Daniel had been unaware of Phillip's high-risk depression, which is understandable since Phillip was a very bubbly, happy person. Not someone you'd expect.
On August 23, 2017, Phillip Lester was found dead and shot in the temple in his apartment he shared with Daniel. Daniel was sat beside him, unconscious (from the trauma of seeing Phillip shoot himself. His memories of the event were repressed, we were led to believe he had murdered Phillip. He was hospitalized to somehow recover his memories and find out what caused his "psychotic break".
He was in our care for two years. For a year and a half, Daniel "saw" Phillip in his hallucinations. Trauma induced schizophrenia. Somehow, he figured of Phillip was dead. He changed.
Daniel development manic depression, had symptoms of PTSD, and what we called schizophrenia. For months he was unable to do anything to recover his memory, none of our techniques worked.
But, once we broke him and got him to tell us what Phillip looked like once he found out, we were very puzzled. Daniel saw him stabbed to death. Not shot. We re-investigated and came across evidence first looked over that pointed to suicide.
Daniel no longer was charged with murder but he stayed in our care until we believed his depression, schizophrenia, and PTSD would be safe in the outside world. He was released on January 17, 2022. Fourteen days later, January 31, 2022, I, Doctor Christopher Sherwood, traveled to do an evaluation on Daniel.
Autopsy reports that Daniel committed suicide on January 30, 2022. Beside him was a birthday card addressed to Phillip. Inside were the words, "Chris said we would be married in 2022... I'll see you at the gate, Philly.

Daniel James Howell and Phillip Michael Lester are now buried side by side where they will stay together forever.
