Happy Days

We all know those days
Full of the laughs and smiles
With the people who surround you
Some with love and some with joy
But as a child, you can see the difference
Because of the brilliance of the ploy
Of these horrid fake ploys
All there smiles are plastic
And there laughs practiced
You yearn for the happy days
When you couldn't tell the difference
When you did the same
And turned away from the dark days
Now you sit, your mind never stopping
Like a horse's hooves, when their marching
Those happy days are long gone
And their games all stopped
As we sit all together, ticking like clocks
