I stepped off the train, becoming immersed in the large crowd of people walking around Ikebukuro Station. I squeaked mentally as I tried to push past all the people, but just weave my way through instead, as to try and be polite. I noticed one of the people on the train I was just with was standing with a blondish caramel haired boy, who looked extremely enthusiastic. The black haired boy smiled at him, seeming like he knew him for a long time. I sighed and quickly found the escalator to the street. I walked out of the station, then bumping into someone on the sidewalk. I couldn't see since the crowd was too big. I took a step back. "I-I'm so sorry!" I bowed.
"It's alright." I heard a man, clearly amused.
I looked up to see a black haired man with glasses and a lab coat. I tilted my head in confusion. He then chuckled. "I'm a type of scientist." He said and I nodded in understanding.
"Ah. Well, I'm new here, and didn't see you, so-"
"It's alright." He interrupted me and smiled.
I nodded, sighing. "Yeah..... right."
"Well, I would say we're aquaintances now, wouldn't you?" He held out his right hand for me to shake.
I blinked. "Oh. I guess so." I shook it.
"I'm Shinra Kishitani." He said, smiling down at me. Well.... he wasn't THAT much taller than me. I was the same height as the black haired boy in the subway.
I smiled finally. "I'm.... Ayaka... uh.... Haralinoma." I replied.
He nodded to me and let go. "Very nice to meet you Ayaka. I have to get home, but I'll see you around." He said waving to me as he walked off. "You won't believe who you'll run into in Ikebukuro!" He called.
I blinked.Yeah. Like a scientist!
I held my smile as I continued on, crossing the street. I had to get to my new apartment. I stopped as I heard a large crash and loud growl. I looked in the direction to see a.... vending machine?! It was thrown high into the sky. People were mumbling all around. I stared, dazed. "I gotta get outta here." I said quickly and hurried off down a thin alley. I came out on a new street. After walking for about an hour, I finally decided that I was lost. I saw a man with dark skin passing out fliers. I blinked. I walked over to him. He looked down at me, smiling. "Hello! You come eat at Russia Sushi, yes?"
I blinked. "Oh, sure!" I smiled. "But first, can you tell me where this is?" I showed him the map.
He looked at it, leaning down. He smiled. "Ohh! That way!" He pointed.
I smiled. "Thanks!" I quickly went inside and got some food to go.
I hurried on my way in the direction he said, avoiding walking into people as I stared down at the paper. What I didn't know, though, that someone was watching me. I looked up, looked over my right shoulder and finding a black haired man behind me. I screamed, dropping the paper. He quickly snatched it from the air in front of me. "Hmm. New apartment, big rolling suitcase, teenager.... I'd say your new here and are going to school." He smirked, now in front of me.
I sighed. "Yeah, and?"
He shrugged. "Nothing." He said, handing back the paper. "Be careful when out at night, though." He said starting to walk off. "I'm Izaya Orihara by the way. I already know your aquaintances with Shinra, so I make another." He quickly dissapeared.
I blinked. "What the hell was that about...?"
I shrugged and continued on. I arrived and unlocked my door, turning on the light and shutting it behind me. An hour and a half to get to my new house. Heh. I sat on a chair, since all of my stuff had been moved here a few days ago, and took out my phone. I opened up an app and logged in.
'Welcome, Hara shima.' It welcomed me with text. I smiled. I didn't log out of it often, so whenever I saw this, it made me smile.
I clicked on a chat room I had.'Hey, you there?' My little pink avatar with a bow on the the left side of its head (right, if your looking at it) asked.
After a moment, I got a reply.
'Yeah. How have you been, Shima?' Tadra Tonaka asked.
'Good. You? I just arrived in Ikebukuro. Took me 2 hours to get home...'
'Haha, wow! Did you... get lost?'
I nodded. Then remembered he couldn't see me.
'Yeah. I had to ask for directions from a sushi place, and apparently made two new aquaintances.'
'That's good! Your getting to know people already!'
'Uh, well... I wouldn't think they're friends. They both said they're aquaintances.'
'Oh... well, your getting there! I believe you can make some great friends in Ikebukuro.'
'What about you?' I asked. 'Did you get here yet?'
'Yup! The 8 o clock train in the subway.'
'Hey me too! Maybe we saw each other!'
'Maybe!'
'Hey I gotta get ready for stuff tomorrow.'
'Me too. I'll talk to you again later, Hara!'
'See ya, Tadra.'
-- Hara Shima has left the chat room--
--Tadra Tonaka has left the chat room--I sighed and sat on my bed, lying down. I put the back of my left hand on my forehead. "Tomorrow, I start school at Raira."
