She looked in the mirror, seeing herself and her beautiful baby daughter. She wore a long black gown and a black cape so she would be able to hide in the night. She wore around her neck a necklace with fire lilies on it that her lover, King Jonathan II, had gotten for her-to prove he loved her and not his wife, Queen Althea. Tonight is the night, She thought. As the sun set, she made her way outside and down the dirt path.

She was to place the baby in front of a door and hope she would get a loving family. No one was to know that the baby was the illegitimate daughter of the King, since adultery is one of the worst crimes you could commit. She looked from house to house, debating which one to place the child at, then she found one where the window was lit up and a mother, a father, and a son sat at a fire talking to each other. She decided this was the right place. She placed her daughter on the doorstep and when to leave when she remembered to do something.

She took off her necklace and tied it around her child's neck and banged on the door. All that Stefan Woods could see was a shadow fleeing. He looked down and saw a baby, he shouted for his mother and father to come see. They decide to keep the baby as their own and name her Lilac.

                       *At The Castle*
"The king wishes to speak to you, my queen!" The servant boy following the queen through the corridors is petrified but intends to do his job right. She looks at him angrily and he stops in his tracks, scared to move even an inch. She mutters a fine and makes her way to the throne room.

When she arrives, two guards open the door for her as she enters. She looks at her husband who is too caught up in his meeting to see that she is there. "Ahem. You asked for me, my King?" He looks up at her and smiles and big smile. He adjourns his meeting and sends everyone away, except Althea, so they may speak privately. He looks the queen in her eyes as he speaks, "I think we should try again! The royal alchemist believes he has created a concoction that will help you conceive a child!" She looks mortified.

She had already made plans to steal the crown from him instead of having a child and heir to his throne. "My love, we have been trying for years and nothing is happening, I'm sorry to say, but I am unable to conceive." She looks at him and plasters a fake, upset, face on. He frowns and then sends her away, wanting to think about things. She races out and to her chamber where she throws a tantrum for him wishing her to conceive.

She refuses to have a child. Refuses!
