Your POV:

Another day... Another day on the same wretched ship, in the same cage I've been stuck in for 14 whole years... I woke up to the sound of metal clanging and a deep accented voice.
"Get up. The deck needs swabbed girl." I sat up, my back aching from sleeping on the same, hard, wooden floor I've grown used to. I look over to my captor, the cage door open. "Fine Eric." I stood up and walked to the door, following him to the deck, the light burning my eyes from being in the darkness for so long. Eric threw a mop and a bucket of water to me and I began to wash the wooden floor of the ship. As I started getting to the edge of the ship, I leaned over the railing, looking out at the horizon of the waters edge, drifting into my own thoughts of getting off this wretched ship and back to my childhood home. But those thoughts were soon broken by a strong hand, yanking me away from the railings. "What do you think your doing girl?" I stared up at Eric wide eyed with fear. "I-I'm sorry Eric! I-I was... I-I was-" he pulled out his knife from its sheath. "I've had enough of your excuses you worthless girl!" As he raised his dagger, I quickly looked away from him, yelping as the dagger met the flesh of my arm twice, leaving an 'X' mark on my arm. But then he dropped me on the ground, slowly looking up at him as he looked down at me with his cold, dagger like glare. But our staring contest was broken by two words that always frightened me. "Dragon Attack!" Eric and I both looked up to see a pack of dragons hurtling towards us. It all happened in a flash. The dragons throwing one ball of fire at another at the now slowly sinking ship. But one particular dragon caught my eye. A slim, dark grey dragon with almost sapphire like eyes, looking down at me from her pack. But the next thing I knew, the whole ship became an explosion, bits of driftwood flying everywhere. I felt an almost dagger like pain in my side, I removed my hand from my arm to my side to see a large splinter of wood lodged in my side, causing blood to ooze out. I staggered up looking around at the crew, throwing nets and arrows at the dragons. I could never stand seeing a dragon hurt, even though they've killed many of my people from my home island. I lumped to one of the crew members and tried to get them to stop trying to take down one of the dragons in particular, the grey one with sapphire eyes, only to be knocked over the railing into the deep blue sea. I struggled, trying to get out of the seas grasp, wanting to reach the surface for air. I held my breath to the point that my lungs burned. I kicked my legs, trying to swim to the surface of the never ending water. I gasped for air as I reached the surface, grab I g a piece of driftwood to float on. "Help! Somebody! Anybody!" I yelled, but no answer. The skies grew heavy with charcoal clouds, the waves roughly pulling me in and out of its grasp. Pain filled my whole body from the cut on my arm and the impalement in my side. I laid my head on the driftwood, my eyes slowly growing heavy, realizing how weak I was. As I closed my eyes, the last thing I see is a Dark grey figure flying towards me and I slip into the water... Then,

Darkness.
