Yellow Topaz

I was alive. My hole burst with greatness. As I was reforming I could feel all the gems staring at me, some saying ''just another Topaz'' others ''is she going to be defective'' I could feel it. Their eyes judging how I was taking my first form. I felt new, new to this world but inside of me I already knew why I was here, why I was made. My hair was blond, long and shiny. My outfit was orange like the sunrise of this planet, my skin yellow and my gem in my chest with that shiny cut with a yellow color. I was made for a purpose just like every gem in this colony. I was made for fighting to defend my planet and my people, to defend my Diamond to protect my colony and my planet, and I was Yellow Topaz.

As I finished reforming, a technician was already waiting for me.

''Follow me, Yellow Topaz 2XS Cut-3RS .'' As we were walking I could see how many new gems, Quartz mainly were being made. The technician guided me to a line were all new gems were, waiting for something. That was when I met her. Just another gem made, just like all these hundreds of new gems. She was different, she was just another quartz, another Rose Quartz.

''Hey'' Said Rose Quartz

''Uh, hello''

''I am Rose Quartz 9CM Cut 9CM. I am new and I love this planet! It's wonderful so many diversity of nature! You can see this Kindergarten just started, we still can see the trees, the grass and those tiny creatures on the ground.''

''Well if I was you, I wouldn't love this planet, it's all going to change.'' Even though I was new, I already knew what was my purpose and why I am here.

We separated in different lines and continued in our ways. I went to an arena. There I saw what was really happening. As a soldier, they were testing the gems if they knew how to fight , how to defend and attack in the right moment. The majority of gems could defeat the monster they were assigned to.

It was my turn. Those ''monsters'' were gems that somehow,no one knew were turned into monsters.  When the Homeworld gems saw me, they were all disgusted, and still I didn't know why. The one that assigned me with a monster assigned me with probably the hugest monsters they brought to this planet, and I couldn't believe it. I just pumped out of the ground and they want me to fight a 16 feet high thing? When I walked in, the monster stood there, waiting for the perfect moment to attack and poof me. I couldn't lose the battle, if I lose I'd probably get shattered or worse! I was really nervous, I could feel the air breeze, the pressure of nerves of all these gems staring, waiting impatiently for me to start attacking the monster, except for a gem. A gem that was sitting in an enormous pink palanquin. She just started at me wisely, thinking.

I summoned a weapon. It was an ax. I started attacking. The monster, with a rapid movement, it threw me away to the other side of the arena. But I couldn't give up. I continued attacking and he continued doing the same thing over and over. I was almost finished, the crowd all impatient, waiting for me to poof and finish this. I was about to poof, but I stayed straight and attacked in a different way. I ran all the way to its back and stabbed my ax in its back, right in the gem. But the gem did not poof. The crowd was quiet, and her, she kept thinking. I kept stabbing it until I discovered something about myself. Fire powers. I turned the ax on fire, did a super jump and went directly right into his gem, the monster poofed. The crowd clapped slowly but surprised. When I finished I got to a room when she was waiting. The tallest gem in the colony. My Diamond, Pink Diamond.

''My Diamond, it's a pleasure to finally meet you''

''So you are the Topaz''

''Excuse me?, what is wrong with my cut?''

''There is nothing wrong with it, your cut is perfect, but other gems have different meaning of perfection. Your cut was a failed cut. All topazes were defective they had the gem wrong, couldn't fight and sometimes they were useless, but you were not, you showed us that you did not give up and that no matter what you will keep trying, just like Jaspers.''

''Thank you, my Diamond.'' I bowed

''You will be assigned with a Quartz, a Rose Quartz, you will be protecting the gems that are colonizing and setting new places for the colony''

''Yes my Diamond''

I couldn't believe it. my cut was a failed cut but I was not, I was actually powerful, I could feel my fire powers getting more stronger.

The Rose Quartz I was assigned with was the Rose Quartz. How was that even possible?

The Quartz was different. She always smiled at everything she looked amazed at how the ''Earth'' was and she also looked horrified at how the Kindergarten was starting to look: a place with no life, only rocks and more rocks, the plants were dying the trees too and the insects were going to another place. That was when it happened when she changed. She really trusted me, she knew I wouldn't tell anyone about what she was planning to do. She was planning to... rebel.

I knew that if I didn't tell anyone about what Rose was trying to do would make me a accomplice but my Diamond was liking me at how I was efficient and how I haven't make any mistake yet. Telling her about it would make her feel bad, that one of her very own Quartz would make that would destroy her.

My Diamond assigned me with a mission to protect her with Rose Quartz, she was planning where to build a palace. We were not alone, Rubies, Jaspers, Amethysts, Sapphires, Agates and many other kinds of gems , like aristocrats and soldiers were there. The place amazed Rose but today looked different like if what she was trying to do would change everything. But I don't know how how she could change everything.

We were standing by her side. We were staring at her and at this beautiful place. While my Diamond was talking I was probably the only one who noticed it. Rose went walking with a sword that was not her sword nearby my Diamond. It was too late when I realized what she was going to do. She shattered her . She broke my Diamond. I went in shock.

The first one to realize what happened was a Jasper with a lot of anger and sadness she followed Rose almost poofing her screaming ''Rose why'' crying... Then she realized she couldn't do anything anymore. I stopped her. We fought. Sadly I couldn't do anything to stop her, the sadness came inside me I felt sad, destroyed, desperate, I couldn't fight anymore. She and my Diamond's pearl ran away.

Everyone was surprised, destroyed and crying. The Diamonds came immediately. Blue Diamond was the first to come. She told everyone to leave. I could see her drowning in all this, crying feeling so sad that even I could feel her pain. She was not the only one Yellow and White Diamond came after her. They couldn't believe that a Quartz shattered her sister. Her younger sister. Yellow was the first to think what to do. She ordered to poof and bubble all the Rose Quartz.

My new Diamond was Blue. By now on Blue Diamond is wearing an outfit that covered her face. Covered her sadness. I was told to bring back Rose. I just followed her orders.

As I went through a jungle I could hear someone, so I kept walking, when a gem appeared. It was a weak gem. She told me she was a rebel, and I forced her to take me to their base.

When we arrived I finally saw her. With anger not sadness, attacked with everything I had. She was about to poof when she said:

''Why are you doing this?!''

''Why did you shatter my Diamond?! This is what you deserve, because of you the entire court is depressed, because of you thee are only 3 Diamonds left! Because of you I am depressed.''The sadness came to me again.''

''Why did you do this I can't continue with this I miss her so much! She was my Diamond Rose, she loved me she gave me a chance to prove that my cut wasn't a failure, and what did you do to her? Shatter her? Why?!'' A few tears came out.

''Topaz, you know why I did this, this planet doesn't deserve what she wanted, it doesn't deserve to die! I thought I counted on you.''

''If that's what you want'' I sobbed, opened my arms letting her to do whatever she wanted to do with me, at that point my purpose on this planet didn't make sense anymore, I couldn't keep it going, not without my Diamond

Rose, crying, stabbed me almost in my gem, poofing me. Keeping me bubbled in a mystery place where I've never been. Right next to another bubbled gem. I couldn't see who the gem was, but I knew it was someone I knew.~
