"Morning, sweetie," Mom said while ironing something.

"Hi mom," I stretched and went to the bathroom, it was 6:30 already and I had no time to head home and fetch for some clothes, so I decided to wear the shirt I wore yesterday. I didn't even have a choice, so quickly had a shower and brushed my teeth. I came out and found a tidily ironed tee placed next to my jeggings on the mattress. It belongs to my mother; I gifted it to her on her birthday. It is a faded red, v-neck t-shirt. It's plain with just a Benetton logo on the left.

I quickly combed my hair into a ponytail, applied the lip balm and pulled on my sneakers. I rushed to the kitchen and found mum sitting on the dining table with a bowl of milk and cereal placed in front of her. I sat opposite to her, "thanks, mom". I smiled weakly; she smiled back and started eating.

"Do you mind me dropping you to your school today?" She asked uncertainly, but I could feel an eagerness of YES in her eyes.
"Um....Of course mom, you can!"

The ride was quite; we didn't talk much, just about the school, my exams, Cass, work and boyfriend.

I couldn't help but snort at the last word. I thought she was smart enough to know this by now, that her daughter is not a girlfriend material, she is a coward little dumpling, who has had enough of her parent's relationships that she can't think of getting into one and be heartbroken.

Well, it's true I haven't had even a single boyfriend for last 17 years, I'm about to turn 18 in next one and a half month. These things don't really matter to me much because I have a good crush for last two years and I hope you know who, and lately I have started thinking about him a lot and in a manner that he appears naked in my thoughts. Can't help it. Every time I see him, I just want to grab his hand and place it on my butt. Sorry if I said too much but, THAT'S TRUE. I can't look at him without staring at his lips.

Other than that, my fashion sense sucks. And let's not talk about makeup. Though I have a fascination for Goth look, but I don't know how to even apply mascara correctly.

Almost half of the day has passed away and I haven't seen Cass since morning, not even in the Gym Class, though it's her favorite. Those tight fitted clothes enhance her body, leaving not only boys but some girls drooling too.

So I just went to the cafeteria and had a burger and lemonade.

"Hey.....!" I looked up at the squeaky voice and saw an NOT-SO-EXPECTED figure, standing right in front of me. Becca, short but attractively slim girl with blond, perfectly straight hair. A newly turned bitch, rather a dumb bitch, like Karen Smith, back from the movie 'Mean Girls'. Rumors are that she is dating the biggest bully of senior school. She wore her short, blue and white stripped cheerleading dress, showcasing her perfect belly-button.

I looked at her blankly, keeping the bottle aside.

"You are Paige, right?" She said, settling down next to me.
I swallowed the last piece of burger and replied all confused,

"Yeah...it's me."

She frowned and muttered, "what a dork head, but I gotta do this", and then said "Hi...." and stretched the word till her voice died.

"What do you want?" I asked again rolling my eyes. BANG. Know this, I have a VERY BAD ATTITUDE, I don't let it out often.

"Would you like to go to a movie," smiling like her muscles ached. "I've got an extra tick...."
