It was 8 already and I was getting late for work. Linda was on leave today and so I'll have to watch on the cash counter. Sunday is the most hectic day for me.
I work at a coffee shop as a waitress. My shift starts from 4 to 9 in the evenings on the weekdays, Saturday is my holiday and Sunday is a full time. It's not a great pay that I receive, but isn't bad either, I make enough to pay for my grocery and save for other unplanned things.
I don't like to ask my parents but I don't earn enough to pay for everything, like the tuition fee or the rent.I quickly had a bath and got dressed in a light blue shirt and a pair of black jeggings. Waking up Cass was useless, so I just had a glass of juice and two slices of bread with peanut spread.
I jogged through the lanes and entered the market within thirty minutes. The market is a students hub, there is a university right in front and a basketball academy next to it. We have enough customers to serve in a day. I come across a lot of my school mates here.
Nick was setting up chairs outside the cafe. He, like me, is a part-time waiter here. He is doing medicines in a local college. I quickly ran inside and helped him set the counter.

"Here you go. Have a nice day." I greated, handing the costumer a cup of frappé.
It's almost noon and I feel hungry as hell. But can't leave the counter till one. I bent down and fetched a packet of cookies I kept in my bag while leaving the house.
"Hey, honeypie!"
I stood up and smiled to Cass while cleaning the crumbs from my face.
"Good noon, madam. What would you like to order?"
"umm... nothing right now. Thankyou. Well here, take them. I have to leave for home. Something important. Seeya!" She said in a breath, handing me the keys of my flat.
I was about to eat another cookie when I saw Cass rushing in the cafe again.
"Come here." She said in a huffed voice.
"Everything ok?"
"Come here." She pulled me through my arm while emphasizing on the last word.
"What's wrong?" I asked again. Confusion flashed through my face.
She pulled me to a corner. I peeked behind her, confirming I wasn't holding on to any customer. Her hand reached my upper chest and she pulled open the second button of my shirt.
"Cass..... What are you doing?" It gets irritating sometimes how she totally ignores my question.
"Shut up. Pull them up." She said pointing towards my breast.
I looked down and then to her in a confused manner.
Without saying anything further she moved closer reaching her hand in my shirt, pulling one of the cups of my padded bra.
"Hey...hey, wait," I said shoving her hand. A few customers glanced at the desperate lesbian couple. I ignored them and did as instructed. Then she pulled my shirt from the shoulders, revealing a faint cleavage that I had.
She pulled me back to the counter, winked at me and was about to leave. Suddenly she turned back, snatched the cookie from my hand and left. I stood their in great confusion.
I was about to button up when I saw something and froze. Jason was entering the shop. I couldn't breathe or move. I just stood there, almost paralyzed.
Jason Scott is a tall, no, very tall guy with brown hair and an athletic built. We are in the same school and have our English class together. He is on the basketball team. His hair were wet so was his basketball jersey, it was clear he came directly from his practice.
"Hey!" he said approaching me. His voice soft and slow, as always.
"Hey....Hi, hi" I stammered. I admit, but only in front of him. I smiled, stretching it as much as possible, I knew I looked weird but couldn't help it. Don't blame me, his charms are at fault.
I followed his gaze as it went from my overly smiling face to the ground and to the door and then window to the chairs.
Why isn't he looking at me, I frowned and looked at myself.
"Oops!" Yeah, it slipped out of my mouth, unintentionally. I turned around and quickly buttoned the shirt. I spun to face him.
"Um...So what would you like to order?" I asked, flushed with embarrassment.
"One lemon ice tea and a cheese sandwich." He answered staring straight into my eyes with a light smile. It was difficult to break his gaze. "Lattice, tomatoes, onion?"
"Nothing."
"Number of cheese slices?" I asked preparing his bill.
"Two will be enough." He said plainly.
I suck at math so I totally concentrated on the amount.
"2 minutes sir," I said with a smile.
"Sir?" He chuckled "Seriously."
"Um...no....I mean..." I stumbled again, What the heck man. Damn it.
"It's ok, P." He said with a wink.
I couldn't help myself but giggle at the name he referred me with.
"Paige, right!" He asked. Oh lord, kill me. His smile is tempting me to kiss him. Kiss me please, deep and hard as possible, till I run out of breath.
I just bit my lip and nodded.
"I would love to ask you something. Do you mind..." and before my prince charming could start a conversation, the ugly male witch, tried to confine me in the walls of this castle.
"Your order, sir," said Nick in his goofy voice with a plastic smile. My eye twitched as I looked at him through narrow lids.
He took his order and turned back to me and I looked at him as a drooling fish with passionate eyes.
"Yaa...so.." and again, few monsters yelled out his name and he rolled his eyes, looking back.
"It was an awesome game dude. Total fun. Hey, man, we are going for a tournament tonight. Join in! Hurry up." Said one of the boys with a more athletic built, with perfect calf cuts and jaw line.
Jason turned back to me and grabbed his stuff, "Catch up to you at school. See you pretty girl." And he left.
I held the chair tightly as my knees felt wobbly. WHAT DID HE JUST SAY.... air somebody please, I think I'm fainting.
