I walked slowly into headquarters. I could fell my Caine popping out of my head. A runner came up to me. I knew him his name was Zector. He was a bit of a brute.
"Hey where were you?" He asked.
"She's dead, Marie's dead."
He took a few steps back.
"I'm so sorry Georgo." He said in shock.
"Do you wanna sit down?" He ushered.
I brushed passed him and wait straight up the concrete steps and into Louis's office. I opened the steel doors and glared at him. He turned around.
" I know." He said.
"You knew it was a risk sending her in and you did it anyway!" I roared.
I could feel a fire burn inside me. My last remaining family was dead because of this man. It may not have been the most logical approach but it was the one that first came to mind.
"She knew the risk too," he said "she wasn't afraid. Her death was not in vein. She gave us information. We know Madam Valours plans for the next six months. We can end this because of her."
We both looked at each other. He wasn't done talking I knew it.
"There's just one piece of the puzzle left to finish. If we kill Valour, her empire will crumble."
You think I'm gonna help you?! After what you did?! I'm not helping! I'm not gonna be a pawn that can easily be replaced. And don't think about trying to convince me, cause I'm leaving." I yelled. I walked out the door of his office and out the gap underneath the blue flame on the wall. The rebellion was all I'd ever know m. But now I was going to take matters into my own hands.
