"Come on lets go! Keep ducking everyone don't let anyone see you!' Arnold said, he was being very strict tonight, like we needed to get there soon. It was true we couldn't let anyone see us, but we needed to go there to cherish the memory of her. We all did it, every night we ran out there to the wishing well to show our feelings, each night we had to bring out a new object from our house and put it on the inside edges of the wishing well. When she was still alive we all had gone as a group every night and did something different, each of us had a night where we got a penny from our leader Arnold, we would throw the penny down the well and then tell everyone in the group what bad thing we had done that week that we felt bad doing. Every Monday it was my turn to throw down the penny and confess, but that night was different, as I was about to throw it down the well, when Clara yelled, "NOOOOOO!" I was surprised by this and accidently dropped the penny down the well, Clara screamed again and reached after it, and the next thing that happened was to fast for us to do anything, she was there and then she was swallowed by darkness. We heard her scream and that was all, we yelled to her over and over again, hoping that her head would pop up out of the well and we could save her, but not a thing happened, I was pretty sure that why she wanted my penny was because she was having lots of family problems at home. But each of us vowed to each other that we would never tell anyone about her disappearing down the well, and we never did. I had always blamed my self for Clara's death, hoping that maybe one day she could forgive me. But one night, not long after Clara's death I had gone to the wishing well alone, hoping to see Clara's spirit and let her forgive me, as I got to the well (being careful not to let the neighbors see me, since it was their wishing well not ours.) I creeped up to the edge of the well and peered over the side, nothing was there, but I still needed to talk to her, "Clara, if your here I'm sorry if you think that I killed you. I would never want to hurt you, I didn't know that you wanted to go so bad. Can you forgive me?" I had waited for a while, and then decided to give up and head home, as I got up from the wet grass I heard a scratching come from the well. Scared, I peered over the well and what I saw shocked me, down there, in the well, Clara stood in the water, scratching at the stone walls. Staring up at me she said, "You traitor, you pushed me down that well, I felt it, you pushed me! You pushed me!" I ran from the well and got Arnold and the others, and that's where I am right now, we are all staring down the well, but for some reason I'm the only one who can see her, she has no finger nails, and the walls where she has been scratching are covered with blood. I shook as I stared down there, the others stared at me like I was crazy, I pointed down there, "Ho-how can you guys not see her, she's right there!" They just stared at me again, "Come on guys lets go." Said Arnold. "No, no, no, stay!!!" the ghost girl yelled from down the well. I kept staring at her, not knowing if I wanted to leave or stay. Then the others left, I was sort of frozen right in that position. Then Clara smiled up at me, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have yelled at you, I forgive you, but I need you to do one more thing for me before I move on."

"And what's that?" I asked.

"When I first joined this group, the first thing I said was that my parents were getting divorced, I had written it down on a piece of paper and put it on the inside of the well walls. I need you to grab that piece of paper and throw it down into the water so it can be destroyed forever." Clara said. Then she gave me a sly smile and said, "Its right there." She pointed a few feet below the top of the wall and I saw a small slip of white paper. "It seems kind of far, I might fall." I said

"No you wont, I promise." She said with a big grin. I knew I couldn't trust her but I needed to get it for her, I just had this feeling that I had to throw the paper down there. So I reached over the edge, holding the stone wall with one hand and reaching for the paper with the other, but I lost my grip on the slimy moss wall and my hand slipped away from it, before I knew it I was falling down, and down, and down. The last thing I heard was a loud cackle then I felt the water swallow me all around and everything went black.

When I woke up I heard sirens all around me, there were scared faces staring down the well at me. "Hey guys I'm okay, I must have just fallen down the well but I'll be fine, the police are here to pull me up. Guys? Why aren't you listening to me!!??" I watched as Arnold and the others were standing by the well, police officers started lowering ropes down into the hole.

"Finally, someone that listens!" I said, I reached my hand up to grab onto the rope but suddenly my hand went right through it, I gasped and tried again. But the same as last time my hand went through it. That's when I realized something was wrong I turned around in the small space and saw my body floating on the surface. I gasped, "No, this cant be happening, I have to be alive." I looked up again and as they had gotten the ropes around my bodies arms and legs I was lifted up out of the well. Arnold and Sophie were whispering to each other, "God, I knew she was acting strange we shouldn't of let her stay here alone, I don't see why she would do that to herself, kill herself because we didn't believe her about a stupid ghost? What a shame." Sophie said. I shook all over now, looking over next to me Clara's ghost stared at me, smiling, "Now we can be together forever."
