~Skylar's POV~

Katie Jay Martinson (u will recognize her in a bit with a different name) walked through the hospital door.

I gasped.

"K....K....Katie?" I asked bewildered.

I hadn't seen her.

Correction.

Nobody had seen her in 5 years, along with her parents, who supposedly died in a car crash.

None of the bodies were found so they thought they were drug away by animals.

"Hey Skylar! Long time no see!" She squealed and ran over to me.

"I.. I thought you were dead!" She let me go, sitting on the edge if my bed, and sighed.

"The truth is. I was never in the car with my parents when they crashed. A rumor went around that they were taken away by animals. That's true. I stayed home when my parents got into the crash. I went put looking for them and saw their car tipped over in the ditch a block away from my house. I didn't want to be an orphan so I took off into the woods following the drag marks."

I sat back into my hospital bed listening intensively to her story.

"When I got to about the middle of the woods the drag marks started to end. I walked the rest of the way and saw my parents bodies lying in the snow. (It was winter) I ran over to them and saw about 6 deer walk over to me. I freaked at first, but they came up next to me and laid down. I buried my parents. Then I stayed with the animals for the past five years, hunting, crafting, and basically doing whatever I needed to survive. I didn't like hunting animals but I had to do it. I sold them to people who were buying them. My appearance had changed over all the time spent out there. They didn't recognize me so it worked out perfectly. I got money and bought food. I did this until recently when I got a job and started earning money for food. I got an apartment and changed my name. I'm now Sadie Noelle Kay. Today a newspaper came in my mail and said that you had gotten in a crash and I came to the hospital. I decided to pay you a visit, but after my work shift was over. And here I am now." She smiled at the end.

I sat there staring at her with my mouth agape.

Did she really live with animals for five years?

I was about to ask her something else when a doctor walked in followed by Sam.

She saw Katie, Well Sadie now, And gasped.

"Hey Sam!" She called out and ran to Sam.

She embraced her in a hug while Sam stood there staring oddly at Sadie.

"Katie? What... Where... When.... HOW!" Sadie laughed.

"I'll tell you the story later. But for now my name is no longer Katie, it Sadie Noelle Kay." Sam nodded slowly.

The doctor looked between us and then looked back down at his clipboard.

He walked over to me and put his fingers to my neck.

"Good pulse. Steady heart. Fine lungs. Healthy tonsils. I think your good Ms. Smith." I sighed in relief.

"So that means I can go home?" I asked hopefully.

"Yes. We just need to take a blood sample to make sure and you can go."

I smiled and hopped out of bed.
