Silverstar's Destiny

Chapter 9

It was a cold night,the air was flled with a hot scent after the day had been gone.The tree branches swayed over camp as the the hot wind rushed past.Silvertail couldn't stop thinking about Whiteflight and her mother.
I don't remember a thing before I met Aspenfall and Featherpaw
Silvertail padded over to the edge of camp to a spot which had soft green leaves,scattered around the spot.Moon light was shining on the leaves and the breeze blew the leaves on the trees to the ground.Silvertail sat down and looked at the moon.

Why can't I have a normal life like all the other cats! I don't belong anywhere,or to anyone! What am I doing here?
A rustle came from warriors den,Tigerpelt slowly emerged from the den and groaned
"What are you doing up so late again?" He groaned and blinked his eyes at Silvertail
Silvertail gave no response
Tigerpelt sighed and sat next to Silvertail, licking her chest.
"Come on,please tell me !" He looked into Silvertail's eyes "Is it that thing with your family bothering you?"

No it's not,nothing is bothering me ,it's just everything is a mystery!
"You get caught up in the most mouse brained things!" He growled"Don't you have better things to think about than your family!"
Silvertail looked away, with no reply.
"What's gone into you?" Tigerpelt growled quietly " Your not the same Silvertail I know!"
Silvertail got up and freezes,with her back to Tigerpelt.
"I care for you!" He growled "Why can't you be like your normal self and stop being so mouse brained!"
Silvertail slowly turned her head back
"If you really cared about me, then you would understand what I am going through!"She snapped"You would help me go through the tough times but instead you call me being so mouse brained!"
"I-I Di-"Tigerpelt meowed silently before Silvertail broke him off
"I don't care what you say! No one ever listens to me ! Why should I even listen to you when you don't even care what I am going through!" Silvertail growled"Why won't any of you listen to me! I am different to everyone else !"
Silvertail ran off,running so fast she tripped over a rock while heading to the river near the edge of her territory. She started to slow down, as she reached the end of the forest.
Everything and Every cat is confusing!
Silvertail sat down near a rock and laid there looking up at the stars.
"You ok?" Said a voice
Silvertail turned around in shock to see Ravenpaw
"I guess " Silvertail shrugged
Ravenpaw smiled and sat on the rock in front of Silvertail
"I saw you and Tigerpelt were fighting just then..." Ravenpaw meowed
"Yeah" Silvertail sighed " I wish everyone would tell me things!"
Ravenpaw nodded and looked up
"I understand what you are going through" he glared to the stars" It's hard not knowing who was your family or where you were from"
"Really?" Silvertail looked at Ravenpaw
"Yes..."He nodded "I have always been on the run looking for the clan for me"
"Why do you want to join our clan so badly?"Silvertail asked
Ravenpaw sighed and smiled
"Well,Since my mother has died and my brothers have disappeared,I don't have any where to go"He smiled right back to Silvertail"Besides I think it would be nice to stay here,I have so many friends already!"

He loves this clan even more than I do
"Hey Silvertail?" Meowed Ravenpaw
"Yeah?"
"Want to be friends?"
Silvertail lit up and nodded
"Sure I could use another friend!"
Ravenpaw bounded of the rock and went up to Silvertail and smiled,but frowned at her
"What's wrong?" Silvertail turned her head
"There is something I have to tell you..." He began "Its not really important"
"Tell me " Silvertail meowed
"You won't like this...but your not from here"
I don't understand
"You and Goosetail are from StormClan"Ravenpaw meowed "the clan that killed your mother"
"Wh-wh-what?!"Silvertail blinked
Killed my mother? How does he know?
"I've been wanting to tell you this since I saw them kill your mother"Ravenpaw frowned
"When did this happen?!"Silvertail growled
"When I was an apprentice..." he silently meowed " Your mother was really strong and was killed by StormClan's strongest warrior"
Oh StarClan ! Why would they kill her?
"I saw them kill her...They threatened to kill me if I told anyone"he started sobbing "that's why I left! I don't want to be killed no matter what I do or say!"
Silvertail put her tail around Ravenpaw,making him more comforted
"Hey it's ok" She whispered "It's all over,they can't hurt you"
Ravenpaw and Silvertail watched the moon glow on the river
StormClan are cruel cats!
