Nathanael stood there, the rain gently dancing around him. It splashed softly onto the ground and created small puddles, that rippled when another water drop landed in it.

The moon glowed, illuminating Paris and reflecting off of the puddles. Everything was still. Everything was silent. Quietly, the hushed wind floated through the cold streets. Nathanael buried his pale face into his wooly, purple scarf, that was resting gently around his slim neck.

Quietly, he exhaled as he looked down at the puddles beneath him. Footsteps could be heard drawing closer to him. His fists clenched slightly, becoming tense at the thought of having to come into contact with another human being.

"Nathanael?" The mention of his name was enough to send shivers down the red head's spine. His breath hitched slightly as he attempted to cover his entire face with his scarf.

The teen's heart began to beat rapidly, he refused to make eye contact.

"What are you doing all alone in the rain? You're gonna catch a cold if you're not careful..." this anonymous person continued, their voice becoming louder as they walked closer to him.

Rain continued to pour down around him, drenching his red hair in the cold water droplets. He looked away blushing when he finally decided to respond. Eyes still glued to the ground, his mouth slowly opened in hope to let out a loud, clear response. "I'm fine..." his quiet, soft voice replied, hardly loud enough to hear.

His eyes widened when something warm grabbed his hand. Panicking for a moment, he tried to pull his hand away. He didn't know who this was or what they were trying to do. Nathanael whipped his head round, his blue eyes shining brightly as he took in this person's features.

Relaxing, he allowed her to take hold of his hand. Lila pulled him towards her and looked up at him with a kind smile on her face. "Better?" the brunette asked, gripping her black umbrella tightly as she tried to raise it to Nathanael's height.

He stared at Lila for a moment, cheeks glowing brighter than ever. The two stood there in a comfortable silence, before Nathanael eventually looked away.

"Uh..." he whispered, his hand still placed in Lila's. His blush only grew when he noticed how close together the two were to each other. His face was mere inches away from Lila's.

Nathanael looked into Lila's green eyes and gave her a small smile. "Much better," he said, laughing a little.

First things first, sorry this chapter was so short! I don't have any excuse I just wanted to get a chapter out ^^;

Anywho, please make sure to check out the last part! If you have any requests I'd love to take them!

Also, I'm not that happy with the cover of this book, so if any one would like to make one that'd be awesome! (I'll make sure to credit you!)
