Nathanael grunted, taking his usual seat at the back of the classroom. He couldn't believe that Chat Noir embarrassed him in front of his crush, Marinette. The red head slumped back slightly in his seat and sighed, staring up at the roof as the teacher began to talk.

School meant nothing to him right now. All he wanted was to get back at that stupid black cat. Aren't superheroes supposed to save people from being akumatized, not be the cause?

The worst part was that Marinette did nothing to stop him. Nathanael could remember her blue eyes focusing on him, shooting daggers straight through his heart with that disappointed look spread over her face.

Besides, he only lied to make other people happy. Nothing he was doing was wrong, it was all Chat Noir's fault for over reacting, and becoming all protective over the girl he was tricked into thinking loved him back. He sat forward, running a hand through his fringe.

"Alright class, today we have a new student!" Nathanael looked up at the sound of his teachers voice. She was stood next to a shy looking girl, with glowing, emerald eyes that darted nervously around each and every part of the classroom. Her brown hair was tied in a style he'd never seen before. Unlike a ponytail, it was only tied at the very end. For some reason it reminded him of a fox.

He continued to rest his chin on his hand as he discreetly slipped out his notebook and pencil. She fascinated him, but he couldn't figure out why. Just, something about her intrigued him to learn more about her.

The teacher gave the her a small smile, but it almost felt forced. As if Ms. Bustier was forcing herself to make the girl feel comfortable. "Would you like to tell everyone about yourself then?" the teacher asked, that same expression plastered on to her pale face.

The brunette paused, her cheeks flushing a deep shade of red. She lowered her head down a bit in hopes to cover her face with her fringe. "I-I'm Lila R...Rossi...I'm fr-from Italy...my parents r-recently moved here..." Lila said, in a voice so quiet the sound barely reached the second row.

Laughter erupted from the front of the classroom. It was a distinct laugh that Nathanael could instantly recognize, causing his attention to shoot up from his notebook. Chloé.

He felt his blood begin to boil, anger rapidly rushing through every single vein in his body. The red head clenched his fists tightly, his short nails digging deep into his soft skin.

"Sorry, what did you say?? I don't think even Ms Bustier could hear you!!" Chloé cackled as she nudged her ginger friend, forcing her to laugh along. Lila's blush only grew. She looked away, somehow thinking that avoiding eye contact with the blonde would cause her to stop. It only did the opposite.

"Aww, I didn't mean to upset you!!" Chloé said sarcastically, averting her attention to her nails. Nathanael glared at Chloé, gritting his teeth in hopes to stop himself from full out attacking the girl. The teacher quickly decided to say something.

"Now now Chloé! There's no need for that! I'm sure Lila's just...nervous!" Ms Bustier piped up, gently resting a hand on Lila's shoulder and giving her another one of those smiles. Chloé simply rolled her eyes, continuing to carefully glide her nail paint over her nails. "Well miss, it's not my fault she's even quieter than Nathanael when he attempts to ask Marinette on a date!"

That's what did it.

A loud bang could be heard from the back of the classroom as Nathanael abruptly stood up, slamming his hands onto the wooden table. His blue eyes narrowed, remaining glued to Chloé as he finally decided to fight back.

"Are you really so insecure that you have to make fun of a someone on her first freaking day of school?? Leave the poor girl alone!!" he shouted, his hands balled into fists. The class went silent, all eyes now on Nathanael, including Lila's.
