When another secret is revealed

Last day of this semester.

You and your friend said your goodbyes before she walked away.

Now i only need..

Then you felt a tap on your shoulder and someone calling your name quietly.

You turned around.

It was Lloyd.

He was looking at the ground.

He doesn't look happy.

"Can i ask you something?"

And his voice was quiet and shaky.

"Uh, sure."

"Can i.. stay at yours today? As long as i don't bother you..."

"No no it's okay."

He raised his head a bit and looked at you with his wide curious eyes.

"So i can?"

"Of course. On one condition.."

"What?"

"I need to know what's happening."

He looked away.

"It's nothing important."

"Lloyd, not again!"

He sighed.

"Come on, you can tell me when we go home."

"I.. Thanks alot, (Y/N)."

"No probs."

You walked together silently, with him looking at his feet all the way, until you reached your house.

You opened the door and entered.

(Let's just act like your parents aren't home today, okay?)

"So, um.. make yourself at home. I'll be back in a minute."

You went to your room, threw your bag on the bed and took off the jacket you were wearing since it wasn't that cold in here.

You came back into the living room.

Lloyd was on the couch, hugging his knees, laying back, and starring at the ceiling.

You sat next to him and hugged your knees too.

"So.. are you gonna tell me?"

"..It's just the usual. I.. I'm running.. from my dad because.."

He sighed, then got out a box of cigarettes from his  pocket.

"You smoke?!"

He started mumbling.

"I.. n-not a lot. I just needed one so bad last night and.."

"Like.. they kicked you out or what?"

"N-no.. I just.. need to stay away.. until he calms down. Seeing me will only get him angrier.."

Right.. and he gets very ill when he gets angry or something.

"Lloyd, you need to stop these. They're not good for you."

"Not that i didn't try to." His muttering voice became even lower, and he turned his gase away from yours.

You sighed.

I know i should try to help, but how?

"Okay then. At least, let's.. talk about."

It was silent for a moment.

"Just tell me, when did you start to take these?"

"I don't know.. maybe a year ago. I just spent most of my money on them. Until Kai found out. I've been kinda.. hiding it from anyone else since then.."

"So the rest of gang don't know?"

"No. Even Kai doesn't know about yesterday."

"That's why you didn't go to his?"

"Kinda.. i just don't want anyone to know i'm back with these again."

"And.. why do you feel that you need them that bad?"

"Just.. that feeling inside. It.. helps."

"Smoking will never help, only make things worse."

"I know."

"And you still do it?"

"I tried not to for so long! I just needed it, okay?" He suddenly yelled then buried his face in his knees.

Maybe i should quit asking questions.

"Sorry if i'm bothering you.. but, one last question. Does your dad smoke?"

What? He said he's very ill. That could explain stuff..

He kept silent for a few moments.

"He used to. He quit years ago. Why do you think he'd get that angry when he sees bits of cigarettes?"

"Oh, okay.."

I need something to say, or do, to help, and without telling anyone, and it's gotta be (you) now.

"Look, let's.. make some kind of deal."

He looked at you again.

"Just.. give me those."

You looked at the box of cigarettes in his hand.

"What will you do with it?"

"Just keep it with me. If you felt you need one, just talk to me instead of smoking and maybe i could help."

"And what if it didn't help."

"I don't know.. m-maybe you could have one, but i need to know about it."

He took a deep breath, then handed you the box.

"And don't buy any more of it."

"I'll try.."

You put the box in your pocket.

I hope what I'm doing is right..

"Why am i even doing as you say?" He asked.

"Because you love me, remember?"

He looked at you and smiled.

"I guess you're right."

He quickly pecked your lips, making you blush and smile back.

I was supposed to write a request i had about Gene, but it turned out like this instead..

Anyways, I have 2 weeks before the second semester stars.
And that means more time to write and update!

And I just published a Kailor AU fanfic, so if you ship Kailor then go check it out maybe?
It'll be good, and i know it.
