Hello there ! It's my first fanfiction in english, as it is not my first language, and on whatppad ^o^ If you see any mistakes, let me know ! And I hope you'll enjoy your read ! <3
P.S : I don't own anything apart my ideas for the story.
______________________________________As the oven's bell resounded in the highly equipped kitchen, you almost fell on the floor, tripping over literally nothing, unless your clumsiness could appear out of nowhere, but hopefully, you maintained your balance and quickly pulled out the cake of the oven, placing it on the work plan. Reaching for the piping bag, you hastily tipped some buttercream on a few freshly baked cupcakes. A small doorbell ringed outside your workplace, signalling a new customer's venue. You sighed heavily, cursing yourself mentally to have had the brilliant idea to open your tea room when you had received a huge command on the last minute. You could have refused, of course, but you had thought it would only be a small tiny cake or some cupcakes to make... Not a freaking 8' inch cake and almost a hundred cupcakes ! And, since it was for a birthday, you hadn't had the heart to refuse... Because, if you didn't make the pastries, who would have done it ? Surely no one, not in such a short delay, and the birthday would have been sad, maybe the birthday's person would even have cried and ohmygod what if it was a child the poor little...
Your thoughts were cut short when someone entered the kitchen, a sly grin on their lips.
- We can almost hear you from the other side, you know ? mocked gently Jiyeon
You sent her a death glare which only caused her to laugh, of course your bestfriend wouldn't take you seriously... You saw her quickly scanning the room, more like the living hell your kitchen was ( with some flour on the floor, preparation everywhere, sink and dishing machine full and all the ovens occupied ).
- You shouldn't have opened your tea room today, pointed out Jiyeon
- No kidding, Sherlock ! you replied back a little bit pissed off by her words and also because you couldn't find your red colorant. She rolled her eyes, seeing you weren't in the mode for some jokes and were way too much stressed. But something caught her eyes.
- Is that fire in the pan ?
You turned your head to the place she was pointing with her finger and gasped as you rushed to stop the fire you had started on your Norwegian Omelette, which was now burned and inedible. Once again, you sighed heavily, slumping on a nearby chair, exhausted by all this tremendous work. Yeah, you loved your job and it was your dream since a teenager to have your own tea room/pastries shop but seriously, today was just hell and just wished it would end soon.
- Hard job you have today, hum, said simply Jiyeon as she was resting against a table.
You only nodded your head, not feeling well enough to speak. Jiyeon patted your head, searching for you-didn't-know-what in the fridges and came back to you, handing you a glass of ( F/drink ) you happily drank.
- So, Jiyeon began, what now ?
You stretched and got up of the chair, not wanting to fall asleep there.
- Have to finish to put buttercream on the cupcakes and have to decorate all the cake... And taking care of the customers at the same time, you enumerated while checking if the cakes you were going to put together to form the big one were okay and baked enough.
The worst part was that it wasn't even the rush hour where almost all the tea room was full... Once again, you thought that you wouldn't be able to make it.
Jiyeon furrowed her eyebrows and seemed to look for her words. You really didn't like when she was doing that, it always meant problems were coming. And with your already desperate case, you didn't need any more of them...
