Lance and Victoria had been walking back to their village for quite some time. Each a bit unsure of if what happen back there actually did, it had to of though they both thought. I mean the loners had been real Lance knew, and this girl had to be real too he was carrying her right now as they made their way back. What happen with him though couldn’t have happened. Loners exploding into ash, his strength, and those wings, burning red like the flames of war. He felt the heat and felt them move with him, but how. Soon a stir was felt upon his back and the two of them stopped walking. Lance’s head cocked some to check on the girl while Victoria moved to her side placing her hand on her back softly. “Hey Lance, I think she is coming to. I wonder who she is, and where she came from.” “Yeah me too.” He replied with a slight smirk, for some reason when he looked at this girl he couldn’t help but feel a warm sensation it was weird and calming.
As the unknown female stirred she could be heard mumbling some, things like. “How am I going to do this.” And “Dad I need your help.” Finally her head snapped up as he gasped, the bright afternoon sun didn’t really help by blinding her for a moment or two causing her to practically fall off his back, but Lance quickly caught her. “Whoa there lady…don’t knock yourself back out. “ Lightly chuckling as he said that, Serapphia blinked a few times and soon caught the sight of the male who spoke the teasing words. What got her first were his earthly brown and warm eyes. She went speechless for a second and felt weird, flustered for some reason this had never happened to her before. She soon manages to speak, “Uhhh. I’m S-S-Serapphia….Might I ask why you’re carrying me.” (What is happening to me…why am I stuttering and pausing) she thought to herself.
“Hello Serapphia, I’m Victoria. It’s nice to finally know your name.” This voice was gentle and full of energy soon she met the face of a little ten year old girl when she hopped lightly in front of her. “I’m Victoria and this is my big brother Lance.” After her small hop she stood beside her brother and hugged him around the waist like any little sister would. She was sweet, adorable, and so full of energy Serapphia thought, yet there was more to her and her brother.
“So umm, Lance and Victoria was it?” She hesitated for a second. “First could you let me down, I think I’m okay to stand. “ Lance had actually forgotten he was still carrying her and soon knelt lightly so that she could touch solid ground. Then he looked to her as she continued. “Second where am I, and what happened, the last I remember is Da… I mean the last I remember is being knocked out by those things.” There was no way she could tell them her dad was god and sent her down to earth, besides she didn’t even know if she could trust them….that is just yet anyways.
“You’re just outside Madrid. My little sister found you unconscious a little ways back the way you came. There were some loners about to attack but I managed to drive them off.” He wanted to go into detail but he didn’t really know if that actually happened, so he let out a slight sigh. Soon recovering his gentle smirk he looked to Serapphia, “Anyways we were going to head back to our village so if you would like to join us you can.”
Serapphia had heard her dad speak of humans surviving this nightmare Lucifer had brought down upon them and she had been ordered to walk among them and help or find people to help her on her mission. So she nodded soon dusting herself off which didn’t really help cause her once white clothes now had so much dirt on them it was like she had actually been wearing tan.
As they began to walk back Victoria giggled and laughed along the way holding her brother’s hand, happy that she had made a new friend. Soon she looked up at Lance as she asked, “Can I have a piggy back ride….pleeeeaaassseee?” Laughing soon Lance nodded unable to turn down her cute request, stopping to kneel allowing her to crawl onto his back hooking her arms around his neck while he held her. “Thank you big brother.” “Haha your welcome.” Warmly laughing he walked easily able to carry her.
