“Come on Victoria, time to head home. You know what happens around this time of the day!” Lance yelled with worry straining into his voice. He was in charge of watching her and had told her to stay close to him. Having once been in the military his sense of direction and tracking was top qualifying rank. His 5’10 body was still in good shape. When everything happened to the world he didn’t know how he and his little sister Victoria survived. They lost their parents though in the beginning of this chaos when it was brought upon the earth by Lucifer.
Lance had been practically crushed by the death of his parents and almost went into a permanent depression. Yet someone saved his sanity. That little ray of light was his dear sister Victoria. Sure she had been hurt and baled tremendous tears but not even a few days later she had been so bubbly and happy smiling from ear to ear and always asking, “Brother lets go play…please?” he remembered she would always giggle lightly when she asked.
Now he was looking for her along the outskirts of Madrid, Spain. He an Victoria had wanted to take a trip there and once the apocalypse began they managed to make their way there surviving each mile.
One thing was for sure, travel had become so much easier, all the oceans had dried up nothing but waste land between the continents. Underground water was a blessing and rain even occurred every now and again.
An so he had been walking for a good hour or so looking for her along the outer plains of Madrid hoping not to run into a demon now. “Victoria!!!” he yelled again only to soon hear a young girls scream come from east of his direction. It was her voice that he could tell. “Victoria….please be okay” was whispered softly under his breath as he made a mad dash into the direction due east. As he ran his chest pounded and he could hear his blood being pumped through his ears. {Come on Lance….faster} rang inside his head as he ran.
Finally he had reached the area he heard the scream echo from, so he came to a sliding stop unable to fathom what he saw before him.
