I Don't Care About What They Say

No ones's POV

Lucy sat down on one of the bar stools in fairy tail. Mira came over and smiled one of her signature smiles, and said hello. The she-devil could tell that the celestial spirit wizard was out of it, and frowned. Her eyes were red and puffy. Her golden locks looked tangled and ruffled. Her once gleeful and happy brown eyes are now ones of sadness and sorrow.  She had no big smile that we know and love, but a big frown that lays in its place. Mira's frown deepened knowing the cause of all this.

When Lisanna came back from the "dead", almost the guild forgot about Lucy, the celestial mage. Only the master, Natsu, Levy, Gajeel, the exceeds, Wendy, Mira, Erza, Gray, and Juvia talked to Lucy. Lucy made friends with Lisanna, and Lisanna made friends with Lucy. So the mage didn't hate or dislike Lisanna. No that is not what the problem is. The problem is her crush, Natsu, her love. Everyone thinks that Lisanna and Natsu should be together, and it rips her apart.

Though Lisanna says she doesn't like Natsu like that, but that doesn't stop some of the guild members. Lisanna hates what's happening to Lucy, but there's so much one girl can do. Natsu on the other hand also claims that he doesn't like her like that. That he likes someone else, but once again these guild members are persistent. So Lucy to has to deal with the guild members insults and glares, but also the fact that Natsu likes someone else to.

Lucy's POV

I order my usual strawberry milkshake, and look down sadness.

'Why did it have to be this way?' I think. I lift my head and look around. The guild is a mess as always someone is always fighting. I smile to myself but it quickly vanishes. Some were glaring at me. I jerk my head forward and I'm vision blurs.

'I thought.....I thought they were my family. My nakama.' I feel the tears drip down my face, and feel arms wrap around me. I stiffen for a bit then relax.

"Please don't cry Lu." I hear someone cry out. Then more and more arms surround me and I know who they are.

"Lucy stay strong don't give up." Ezra says with a muffled voice.

"Lucy I'm so sorry! This is all happening because of me! My friend is suffering....because of me." Lisanna sobs and I wrap my arms around her. Tears continue to stream down my face.

"No Lis. It's not your fault. It's no ones. People are people. No one will be perfect." I lift my face and hold my hands to her shoulders.

"But people also know how to forgive and forget. I know how to be patient and that's what I'm going to do." I say with a forced smile. She looks at me with deep concern and she slowly nods. I can tell she wants to say more, but she doesn't know what. I give her one last squeeze.

"Don't worry about me. I'm not the strongest but I will pull through. I promise." I whisper. She nods with tears stoking my shirt. Then the guild doors open i look up, and they revel Natsu. I look to the girls and they give me a concerned look. I just smile to them and nod. They all hesitate but leave me to myself. I look back down not wanting Natsu to see me like this, but even though i don't look at him he still comes over and sits down next to me. He calls my name, but i don't look up or more tears i'm forcing down would overflow. He calls my name again, but i still don't answer. I then hear him moving, and his hand cups my chin and turns my head to look at him.

His eyes are filled with concern and my heart breaks. He looks so sad and so.....sleepy.

I place my hand on his cheek and my eyes fill with concern for him. His face leans into my hand and his hand lays on top of mine. I show him a small smile and he smiles back.

"I don't care what they say." He says breaking the silence. I look at him confused not knowing what he means.

"W-wha." He then smiles wider and pulls me close our noses now touching, and i blush a blush that can rival Erza's hair.

"I don't care that they say I should be with Lisanna, because you know what?" I look at him speechless not knowing what to say, and he smirks. "It's because I love ya Lucy." I feel my eyes widen and eyebrows raise. I now can feel the tears I was holding back flow down my cheeks.

"I love you too, Natsu." I say and my smile also widens. He grins.

Then Natsu looks at me but he stands up.

"Stop comparing Lisanna to Lucy! They're two different people. Lisanna is a good friend and my best friend of my childhood, but I love Lucy. She's always been there for me. She's my best friend and I'm happy to be in love with my best friend." I look around the guild and most now their heads in shame. I see Lisanna and the group of girls and they all smile with joy. Lisanna gives me a big grin and a thumps up. I smile and mouth thank you.

I look back up to Natsu.

"I love Lucy. So you all better get over it!" Natsu yells to the people looking down in shame. I then hear a deafening squeal, and look over at Mira. But sure enough no Mira is to be found. For in the wall was a perfect Mira sized hole, and if you listened closely you could hear someone screaming NaLu, NaLu, NaLu over and over again.

'Ok well she's happy.'

All the girls are fangirling and I laugh. It feels so good to laugh again. And to smile. Natsu then sits down again and hugs me close.

'Well I can't deny that I'm happy too.' I smile and hug Natsu back.
