Am I dreaming? What the fuck just happened? Did Shawn freaking Mendes just ask for my number??

I text my best friend Emily telling her what happened.

(L:Lia and E:Emily)
L:You'll never guess who came in to the café!!
E:Who???
L:You won't believe me but Shawn Mendes came in!!!
E:You're fucking with me right???
L:Would I do that to you???
E:Yes!!
L:I would not!! You know how much I love Shawn.
E:That's true....
L:come to the café!!! I'll tell you what happened.
E:Ok.

I get off my phone to wait for Emily. A few minutes later she comes in.

"Ok what happened??"she demands.

"Well Shawn came in and ordered a burger and some
frie-"she cuts me off.

"He eats regular food???"she asks.

"Well duhh."I say,"He's a person too."

"He's too hot to be a regular person. Now get on with the story!!"she says.

"Its not a story but ok. He ordered a burger and some fries. I told him that the vanilla  milkshakes are to kill for-which they are-and made a deal with him. I said that if its not the best he's ever had I will pay for it. Well I lost and he said that I don't have to pay for it as long as I gave him my number."I say.

She just stares at me in shock...."Really?!?! Are you telling me the truth???"

"I don't lie and you know that!!"I say. 

"True true."Emily says. 

"Tell me if he texts."she says walking out of the café.

Two days later

Its been two days and Shawn hasn't texted me. Its not like I wait by the phone for him to text me.
I mean I have school and a life. In going to the theater with few of my friends. Emily is one of them and then Jake and Kayla, who are dating.

I turn off my phone and go in the theater. The movie is pretty good. But not really my kind of movie.

After the movie I turn on my phone to see that I have a text from an unknown number.

'Is it Shawn??'I ask myself.

I open it and read the text.

Unknown:hey this is Shawn.
L:hi Shawn!!

I change the contact name to Shawn.

S:so I was wondering when your free??

Omfg, is he asking me out???

L:um... Next Friday
S:ok meet me at your café
L:ok

"Lia!! Shawn Mendes just texted me!!"I yell.

"What did he say??"she asks.

I show her the texts and she screams.

"SHAWN FUCKING MENDES JUST ASKED YOU OUT!!"she yells.

"I don't even know if he's taking me on a date."I say.

"I swear Lia if you don't listen to me..."she warns.

"If I don't listen to you.... What?"I ask, trying to annoy her.

"Ughh Lia!!"she groans,"I don't have all the details yet.."

I laugh and we walk to her house, goofing around the whole way back.
