Blood Beneath The Scales

Chapter 7: A Family

*Months later*
"Are they cold?" He asked.
"They're fine. Stop worrying." She replied.
"When will they hatch?" Spider asked again.
"Soon. Calm down, they'll hatch when they want to." Misty replied, tucking her three eggs closer to her.
"I hear something!" He said, watching the eggs move and crack open.
"Welcome into the world little ones." Misty cooed.
"They're all beautiful and look strong. Two boys and a girl." Spider said softly, studying each one.
"They'll help many dragons like we did.." Misty said, curling up around her and Spider's new hatchlings.
"What will you name them?" Fireweb asked from the entrance of the nursery cave.
"Darksky," she said pointing to the blue male hatchling, he looked like Spider but he was all blue with red wings and spikes.
"Amber" Spider said, nudging food over to the small female hatchling, she looked very similar to Misty except she had orangeish scales.
She was all red with a blue line blue from behind her ears down to the tip of her tail, she had a patch of green scales on her forehead.
"And... well. we haven't got a name for him yet.." Misty sighed.
The youngest hatchling looked like a mix of Spider and Misty, blue around his eyes and part way up his legs, his body was a fiery red and the end of his tail was green.
"How about... Emberspark" Fireweb said.
Spider nodded in agreement.
"He looks just like a little ball of fire.." Misty smiled, "It's perfect"
Drago came into the cave as well.
"Welcome to the tribe little ones," he smiled.
Misty and Spider let Drago and Fireweb introduce the hatchlings to the tribes. Lava Tribe and Ice Tribe had come to see the hatchlings, all very close allies to the Fire Tribe due to Misty helping save Cole and Spice's mate. The tribes really weren't that different from each other, they all have the same blood beneath the scales.
