ALISSA SIGHED, lifting both of her hands in defeat as she gave up on drinking the steaming hot coffee. She crossed her legs and leaned back, observing the scene in front of her. Through the large window she could see a small group of children running around, enjoying the sunny day. Not a usual sight in the big city like Los Angeles.

The strawberry blonde was sitting at a small caffe near the police station where her brother worked with his soon to be ex-wife. She was supposed to visit him today, but he got a sudden case which cut her surprise visit short.

A part of the female angel was grateful for the case, because it gave her more time to make her story perfect. After all she couldn't just show up in her brother's life with no reason. Usually she would not spend much time coming up with a perfect story, but she had to be more careful if what Amenadiel was true and Lucifer was really spending time with Dan and Chloe.

It wasn't that she hated Lucifer, hell she only met the fallen angel yesterday. And yet the thought of him being anywhere close to the people she cared about was almost enough to make her shiver in fear. Specially when she remembered Trixie, the innocent little girl Alissa cared very much for.

That fear she felt was based on pure logic, or at least that's what every angel was told. It was one of the most important lessons angels learned when they were created, never to make the mistake of trusting the devil. And the angels listened, afraid to disobey a dirrect order, scared it would make them fall and then they would turn into the bad guys - that they would turn into everything they hated for all of their lives.

And sure, the devil may seem charming. That was something she would have to be careful about since she would be forced to spend more time around him.

It was important to remember who he truly was because the angel couldn't allow herself to think like that, she couldn't let herself think of him as anything more than a con artist who fooled people around himself on daily bases. But there just seemed to be something about him, that feeling she noticed in his presence that made her slowly doubt everything she had been told.

"Hello love." Alissa tensed, turning her head towards the brittish accented voice, a human saying ' speak of the devil and he shall appear'  flashing through her mind.

"Lucifer, hello." She smiled at him, easily noticing that he was dressed in a rather similiar way as the night before. In the clearly exspensive black suit he looked more like he belonged in one of thoose fashion magazines then in hell.

He chuckled at her tension, taking a seat across from her. "You seemed quite lost in thoughts when I came in, perhaps you were daydreaming about little old me." His voice held a bit of darkness in it and yet it was surprisingly soft. And Alissa knew that if she was simply another human that she would be more then tempted to tell him anything and everything he wanted to know.

"Cocky much?" She raised one of her eyebrows, taking a sip of the now cold coffee to hide the tiny smile threatening to appear on her face.

He merely chuckled in response, shaking his head. "No need to be embarrased darling, it's quite a normal reaction. Humans tend to be very honest about their desires when in my company."

"Who says I desire anything?" She raised and eyebrow, ignoring the urge to just stop questioning him so much and leave the coffee shop.

"Everyone desires something." He responded without missing a beat, speaking calmly about what he had observed on earth so far.

Alissa found herself nodding, quietly agreeing with his words. It was something the angel of vengeance had noticed during her many visits to earth. Everyone seemed to want something, they all seemed to always wish for something more. Always doing their best to achieve better results.

"I should probably get going, I can almost feel the detective's annoyance with me for being in here this long." He chuckled once again, standing up and straightening his suit. "You should come to Lux tonight, we could continue this over a few drinks. Only the best for my guest."

She turned slightly, biting into her lower lip as she thought about it. "Maybe. I will think about it." He winked as he exited the coffee shop and the strawberry blonde found herself smiling in response.
