Dear paper bridge,
How do you do it? How do survive the crashing waves and tumbling rocks thrown upon your thin skin? How do you repel the water that sloshes below you? Do you refuse to tear? Do you rebuild the soggy and lost bits of yourself?Do you know how you do it?
They don't make paper bridges anymore. You're the only one. You're the only you. They want it replace you, but I won't let that happen. You fascinate me. I'm infatuated with your structure.
Don't fall. Please. Stay until the sun dies. Stay until you outlive the fancy new bridges. I'll walk across you everyday and keep you company.
I'll keep you safe.
