Ever since, the concert, Jungkook and I had gotten closer. He spent more time with me. We did different things together. We got to know each other better. I was happy. So was he."Do you want to do something today?" Jungkook asked from the other end of the phone. I sat on the couch with my legs underneath me. Jungkook had called me.
"Sure! What did you have in mind?" I asked with a bright smile on my face.
"I don't know. Kind of felt like just walking around and talking. Sound good to you?" Jungkook suggested.
"Yeah! What time?"
"Whenever you're ready? 2o minutes?" Jungkook offered.
"Deal."
"Ok. See you in a few." Jungkook hung up the phone and I rushed to my bedroom to get changed.
"Why are you in such a rush?" Miku, who was sitting on my bed, asked. Then she gasped when she realized what the answer to her question was. "You have another date with Jungkook?"
"Hehe! Maybe," I offered as I quickly changed clothes to look presentable. A simple outfit with jeans, converse, and a white top.
"Cute!" Miku assured me before I ran through the living room, searching for my purse so I could go out. "Bye!" Miku yelled as I walked out the door.
It was a bright, sunny day and kids ran down the streets chasing each other. It reminded me of the days when Miku and I were like that; little balls of energy. Although I was still young, I was already starting to feel the affect of the wear and tear I did on my body years ago.
I walked down the street, taking in all the scenes around me as I made my way to my destination. Jungkook told me to meet him by the park. I actually got one of my biggest scars from the park. Miku was chasing me and the side of my arm caught a stick poking out. A large cut was on my arm and I kept making it worse while playing soccer.
After arriving at the park, I found a bench and sat down while waiting for Jungkook. I watched as kids ran around and played.
"Nari?" A voice asked. It wasn't Jungkook's. This one was female.
"Yes?" I said turning towards the voice. A young girl stood there with a male friend of hers. She wore a korean womens soccer team jersey.
"I'm sorry to bother you, Miss. But could you sign my jersey?" The girl asked nervously. She held a pen in her hand and a smile covered her face. The same went for the boy next to her. They looked to be around 10.
"Yeah sure! Do you play soccer?" I asked the girl as she handed me the pen and turned around. I quickly added my signature, knowing it from muscle memory.
"Yes ma'am. I have played since I was three!" The girl excitedly informed me.
"Wow! Well keep up the good work. That's what gets you to your dreams," I said happily. The girl turned back around and I handed her the pen back.
"I'm sorry. I don't have anything for you to sign," the boy apologized. His head hung a little low.
"Don't worry! I might have something." I rummaged through my bag looking for something I could give him. "All i've got is a sweaty head band. Will that work?" I laughed. The boy nodded his head, excitedly, his smile returning. I placed the head band on my leg and signed it with the pen he handed me. It was just another head band I had gotten for free from our sponsors. I had a million of them. But it made the boy happy, thats all that mattered.
"Here you go!" I handed him the blue head band and they both bowed.
"Thank you miss!" They turned and ran, squealing with happiness. I laughed as I watched their backs as they grew farther away.
