Chapter 4

Lucas Raymon's POV

Meeting my little mate at night for the first time is a blissful night, except for the moment that I passed out onto her.

Silly

I have been waiting for as long as I remember to meet this little flower of mine. She's all mine. I already know that eventually she will ask me why am I injured that night, but she keeps it to herself for the moment. She understands.

I don't care if she is a weak wolf or a strong one. All I care about is that she is my mate. I need to protect her at all costs. I was scared at first when she asks me if I am her mate. I thought that maybe I was wrong, but I am not.

I have to mark her when she told me the sparks were faint. I was really scared at that time that I thought she would leave me. I have heard a story before about a weak wolf. All she need is her mate to be with her and her wolf grew strong in a matter of time.

"Lucas."
I hear Alyssa call my name. God, I love it when she calls my name. I jog to the living room in no time and hug her body from behind. It is a perfect size, and it fit well on me.

"Yeah, babe."
She chuckles and starts to fidgeting. My eyebrow furrow. Why is she so nervous around me? I quickly kiss her cheek and she instantly relaxes.

"Why were you injured last night?"
She finally asks me.

"It scared me to death even though I just met you."
She continues as she put her palm on my chest. I release her body and slowly rub her cheek. My face shows no emotion. I would do anything to protect her. She is the luna of my pack, and I need her because I need her. Truly.

"Lucas?"
She calls to me again. My mind snap to her.

"Well, when you passed out, I ask for help from a passerby to carry you to my house because you are so heavy."
I chuckle lightly. Well, I'm not heavy, I'm just well built.

"Uh-huh? And then?"
I ask her and put both my hands firmly on her waist.

"Then, when he looks at you, he ran away from me. I have to carry you on my own."
This doesn't feel right.

"Really?"
I squint my eyes at her.

"Yeah, he asks me do I know you and I said you are my boyfriend."
She tells me and laugh shyly. Something is wrong. I just know that the man that Alyssa met last night have something to do with me getting injured.

"You can call me whatever you want. I'm yours."
I confess to her and went to kiss her forehead tenderly. She blushes again and I laugh at her seeing her cute face.

"Um, Lyss?"
I reach for her hands. She does the same but reach to hug me instead. I growl lowly loving the skin contact she's been giving me.

"Yeah?

"Perhaps, do you remember how he looks like?"
I ask her cautiously patting her head slowly.

"I don't think so. I was busy thinking trying to save you to notice his clothes."
She says and tighten her hug around me. I do the same and kiss her head.

"Oh, I think he was wearing a black shirt and a jacket. His outfit was all black. It could be blue black but I can't see clearly."
She added. I guess there's nothing important then. It looks like just a normal passerby. I shrug it away.

"Lucas, tell me why you were injured last night?"
She lifts her head and look at me. I can see the desperation in her stunning eyes. Her eyes are full with emotions.

"I was fighting and tracking down a rogue back there. When I thought I had a win. I shifted into my human form. That was my mistake. He stabs me using a knife that was covered with wolfsbanes."

I stop and gaze into her eyes. Her eyes have this greenish color and I just realize it. She smiles and I can't help but love the smile she's giving me.

"And that's when I met you."
I say and peck her while I smiled against her lips.

It is half past 3 already. Time pass by real quick when I'm with her. She let go of me and walk into her bedroom. I follow her. She continues to pack her stuff into the bag. Tomorrow we will go to the pack house. I can't wait to introduce her to my pack and my parents.

She's taking it pretty smoothly, all the things she just found out. I know she will be the perfect luna. If not, why would the moon goddess pair us. During our time together she had told me that after her parents died, they left her an amount of money that is enough to support her until she gets a job.

Well, Mr. & Mrs. Hunter did a pretty good job as a parent. I leave her with her stuff and go to watch the television. She's good at decorating stuff in her house. I like her taste.

"Lucas?"
I turn around and see Alyssa standing at her bedroom door. Didn't I tell you that my mate has this chocolate milk hair? It's look yummy. Her eyes held greenish crystal color that make me froze in time. Her skin is so soft that I'm afraid when I touch her it will leave a bruise.

"I just remember that the guy last night, he has a wolf tattoo on his neck."
She continues. My eyebrows knits together.

And I thought he was just a normal passerby.
