Goodbye again

"Excuse me" "Excuse me" "sorry"
Ugh this airport is so crowded!
As I grab my carry on and my backpack I start to walk toward a directory so that I can find the exit but I'm just so completely lost, as usual...
'If I'm here by the Starbucks than the terminal 4 exit should be over there? Or maybe'-
"Joey!!!" Calls a voice over my shoulder and I look over to see my aunt Bella waving her arms frantically.

I run over to her and give her a big hug! It's been so long since I've seen my favorite aunt but I've missed her like crazy.

"Oh my god Joey you're so tall! And gorgeous!" She goes on for the twenty minute walk around this crazy airport to her car. I've been dreaming about this place for the last five years and I honestly can't believe I'm home. I grew up here in Phoenix but moved to Dallas for the last few years with my dad until everything fell apart and I decided I needed a fresh start.

We drove for about forty minutes to my aunts house where we sat for a few hours sipping tea and talking about the next few months.

"Well I say we head over to Sr. place so you and him can talk" Bella says but I can't move, I don't want to face Sr. yet I'm not ready to deal with this. "Jordan Rose Gallagher. He doesn't have much time left...you know that honey so make the most out of the next few weeks okay? That's what you came here for isn't it? To say goodbye."
She was right after all, I planned this trip originally because my grandfather has cancer and I needed to spend some time with him before the time comes. He's always been such a strong healthy man it'll be hard to see him like this after all these years.

I'm finally home from the visit and it was definitely hard but I needed to see him and start preparing for the inevitable. I come in and start to unpack my bags Into the cute little room Bella has made up for me. There's a huge window on the far wall with a window seat I can only imagine sitting at and reading for hours, to the left there is a small closet with a few shopping Bags on the top shelf, on the right wall there is a bed with a black and white floral print duvet and next to that is a white dresser.

I unpack my things and then grab my laptop and sit down on the window seat and start applying for jobs. I know Bella won't mind me staying with her for as long as I need but I finally have some independence and I'm definitely taking advantage of it!

Back in Texas he had control of my entire life including jobs so it feels so great to be able to do this without anyone looking over my shoulder, I am nineteen I should be able to handle a job search.

As I stumble through my purse looking for my flash drive I find his watch and immediately go to throw it away but I look up to see My aunt staring at me.
"I know what he did to you was wrong but don't throw it away it's actually nice...sell it and give yourself more money towards your car sweet pea" she says simply and walks away. She's right, we have both been saving so that I could get a car when I got here and as much as I hate to admit it my father has good taste.

After I take a photo and write a description the watch is on the Internet ready to be sold and I stuff it away to keep the reminder of what he did pushed to the back of my mind. I hope someone buys it quick.
