Walking every night at the park was his hobby, the silence of that place makes him at peace.

Every night was the same - cold, windy, and silent... Until that day came.

It was 8:30 p.m. when he went to the park, he was silently strolling when he heard a lady crying and began to sing silently.

"Who do you think you are?
Runnin' 'round leaving scars
Collecting your jar of hearts
And tearing love apart
You're gonna catch a cold
From the ice inside your soul
So don't come back for me
Who do you think you are?" A shiver ran down his spine, her voice was so beautiful. After singing, she cried again weakly.

He thought she needs some company so he walked and stopped near her and said "hi", she rose up because of shock, he only smiled and scratched the back of his head.

When the lady recovered, she replied a weak 'hello' to him and sat down the bench, he sat next to her and asked what's the problem, she told him everything.
When she was finish, she started crying again, this time it was loud and clear.

He silently patted her back, she leaned her head against his shoulder. He smiled, "Err.. Can I share a story?" He asked uneasily. He felt her nod. "Well, uhm.. We're uhmm.. We're in the same condition" after saying that, she quickly sat still and looked at him. "Same?" She asked, he nodded. "Well, uhmm. I also had a fiance, she broke up with me before our marriage, she said she was not ready yet and, well.. She doesn't love me anymore." He said sadly, the lady looked at him with pity, he only faked a smile. Because of their situation, the lady hugged him tightly, he blushed.

The lady felt that he was feeling a bit uneasy, so she let him go and whispered 'sorry', he simply nodded.
They became silent for a couple of minutes.

She broke the ice between them, "they're unfair right? Leaving us for their own sake." She said, her voice cracked.

"Well, thats life" he replied, "people come and go, some people stay, some people leave, I have read a quote in a book that says ; "Love isn't enough for people to stay together forever, they have to be meant for each other to be together"; , maybe they're not meant to be ours? Maybe we should just move on." He said and smiled.
She rapidly blinked for a few seconds, which made him laugh.

"Uhm.. Err.. Well, my name is Drake, Drake Collins, and you are?" Asked Drake offering his hand to the lady beside her. "I'm Emma, Emma Bloxham", she said and took his hand. "Thanks Drake, for keeping my company" after saying that she smiled, "Anytime", Drake grinned.

After shaking hands with each other, Emma told Drake she needs to go because its getting late, he agreed, before saying goodbyes to each other, Drake asked her.

"Uhm, Emma?", she looked at him and mouthed 'yes?', "Err.. Would you like to.. Well, go out with me??" He asked her shyly. Emma only smiled, "well, you dont have to go out with me, I'm not going to force you, I know that you are still broken because of your ex-fia-" before Drake can even finish his sentence, Emma cut him off by placing her hands to his lips.

Emma laughed when she saw Drake blushing furiously, she removed her hand and finally answered his question, "hey Drake, past is past, we should let that go. Maybe its time for the both of us to move on." She said, Drake was just looking at her, she smiled and continued, "and because its time to move on, I'll accept your offer. Yes I will go out with you. Here's my number, just text or call me where and when." After saying this, she waved her hand and left Drake dumbfounded.

After a couple of minutes Drake snapped back to reality, he walk back home with a huge smile painted on his face.

Well, being broken hearted after all isn't that bad.
