The following two days passed in agony for the meeting. Jungkook doesn't know the reason why he is so anxious when he is supposed not to care. Taehyung is late, maybe he won't come after all, maybe he just wanted to humiliate Jungkook. Humiliation. He has had enough of that.
He stares out of the window while waiting for his mango tea, the sun tires him out. He keeps staring even though it's blinding him, life is exactly like that, exhausting but mandatory. For a couple of seconds, he goes through his own sun and it seems that it has been more burdensome than sunny. He considers leaving the coffee shop but his thoughts are interrupted by a certain someone who is blocking the debilitating sunbeams.
He first notices his eyes, big brown eyes, you would expect them to be full of emotion but they're not, they're rather dead, then Jungkook's gaze moves lower, to his smile. A smile which can build empires and abase kind hearts, a passionate smile. Jungkook concludes, thank god his heart isn't kind. He feels the need to capture this smile. The stranger waves at him and realization comes like a lightning piercing the night sky. Kim Taehyung. He looks tall and lean rather serious, but his behavior doesn't quite match his original image. He seems enthusiastic and Jungkook's already to the limit of vomiting. The boy enters the shop with confidence.
"Hello Jeon," he says smiling. He's not even sorry.
"Hi, how are you?" The younger says and he hates small talk.
"I've been better" and Jungkook doesn't care.
Taehyung sits next to the younger boy always smiling. He goes through the menu and decides on caramel macchiato. There go some silent minutes before V finally speaks up.
"Who drinks tea nowadays?"
"Well obviously I am," Jungkook says a little bit too serious, and Taehyung seems amused. He can't find a single thing which could be called enjoyable.
"I can see that Jeon, I am just looking for the reason" Jungkook is slightly irritated so he changes the subject.
"So what did you want to talk about?" he asks pretending to be sincerely curious.
"Obviously the project we share." He replies casually and Jungkook swears because the person across him is making things extremely complex. When they are not. He knows the following conversation, he has been through it more than ten times already.
"What about it?" The younger is getting impatient. Taehyung's coffee is here and the amount of sugar in it is making Jungkook feel nauseous. Many things make him feel nauseous lately and he is aware that it's not normal. The older boy takes his time to take in the pleasant image of this wondrous sight and Jungkook finds it pointless but nice to watch. His question is still hanging in the air but Tae doesn't seem to care enough to answer. He takes three large sips of his beverage trying not to look too satisfied.
Jungkook stares.
"I just wanted to talk about how we are going to approach this because I have many projects on my shoulders"
He's not really a project guy. Liar.
Jungkook's patience is beyond over.
"Aren't I just going to do it myself?" He mutters with irritation obvious in his voice.
"You're willing to?" Taehyung says with amusement obvious in his voice. Jungkook's feeling frustrated, so he just signs. He knew so why did he get his hopes high? It was just a shy one.
"This is where you usually work?" Taehyung asks.
"Yes I know this place better than myself"
"Who knows themselves, Jeon Jungkook? " he says abstracting Jungkook from his thoughts.
