It read 7:13 AM on the clock beside my bed. I groaned and tried to sleep again. God why can't I sleep longer when it is a holiday? But when it's a school day I swear I'd be sleeping like a dead man. I'm so weird! I could no longer sleep now. I was staring at the ceiling thinking about nothing in particular. I might as well get ready to meet my friends. With a huff I climbed out of my bed and got refreshed for the day.

And then as I went down the hall I could see that my Dad had already gone to his work and Mum was still in the kitchen. My Dad is never really home as he is the only one who has to take care of the company. My Mom do help too but my Dad takes the main role.

"Mooomm" I said I entered the kitchen. She looked at me while cooking "Why are you up so early? I thought you had study holidays?" She said.

"Yeah, but I couldn't sleep. And I'm going to meet Jessica and Priya today" I told her. "Alright" she replied.

"Mom, I'm hungry" I whined as I sat there. "Just a minute, it's almost ready" she assured me.  She was making Dosa and curry, typical south Indian dish. Yup almost done. "Here" she served me the food.

"It tastes good mom!" I said as I started digging in. "Eat slowly" she said as she made more dosas. As I finished eating, I helped mom in doing the dishes.

I took my phone and my purse and now I was ready to go. "Bye mom! I'm going to Priya's home" I said as I walked towards the front door. "Bye Sam. Don't stay out so late" she said. "OK maa" I replied as I started walking towards Priya's home.

I reached her home in few minutes. I knocked on her door a few times before her sleepy self came and opened the door. I glared at her and entered her house "You do remember that we are meeting today right?"

She scratched her neck saying "yeah I do. But isn't it bit early?"

I shrugged "It's already 9:30. I don't think it's early" She raised her hands in surrender "Okay! I'll get ready soon. Be right back" she left me alone in her living room. As both of her parents were working, it seemed like they left for the office. I took out my phone and texted Jessica to come here fast. I didn't get any reply from her. I have a feeling that she's sleeping too. These girls are so lazy! I turned on the TV and kept changing channels. I saw a movie named 'Ouija' was airing on HBO. Awesome!

I kept watching the movie and lost track of time. I did not even notice that Priya was ready now. "Hey look!" I pointed the TV screen to her. And yes she joined me in watching the movie too. We were always fascinated by this game and wanted to try it once.

"Hey, why don't we try it once?" Priya voiced my thought. "Yeah I was thinking the same" I replied her. Just as we were talking, we heard the door bell ring.

"It must be Jess!" Priya said as she went to get the door. "Hey guys" Jessica said as she joined us on the couch.

"Jess you know Ouija right?" asked Priya. "Yeah??" Jessica replied suspiciously. "Why don't we try it today?" Priya said.

"Oh my god! No.. I don't want to try that!" She exclaimed and threw a pointed look towards me. "Jess we know so much about this, we've always wanted to try it once. We do want to know if all the stories we heard were real or fake, right?" I said her.

"Yeah.. But it doesn't feel right" she said meekly. "Don't worry babz. Probably it's all fake. We'll find out today!" Priya said determined. Now Jessica seemed to be okay with the plan.

"Alright, it's time to put the plan into action!" Priya exclaimed as she ran up the stairs. "Looks like someone had it all planned" I said. Priya came with a board in her hands. It seemed like a normal board game. "I've had this since we moved here. I found it one day when I was going through the old things that were left behind in this house" she explained us, as she realized that we were staring at her.

"Alright" I replied "shall we start" I said as we sat down on the floor with the board in the middle. We held each others hand in circle. "I'll start" Priya said as she started inviting the spirits. Nothing happened. We looked at each other, and then she tried again. And then she asked "Anyone here?" No response again.

"I'll try once" this time it was Jess. And she tried. This time it moved. The freaking pointer MOVED!

"Okay, umm what's your name?" I asked the pointer moved "V-I-S-H-W-A".

"How old are you?" Asked priya. It moved "1-7"

"How did you die?"

"A-c-c-i-d-e-n-t" Oh my god.. After a few awkward moments. Priya decided to talk.

"Will I marry my boyfriend?" Asked Priya. Haha! What a ridiculous question! It moved "N-O". Aww poor Priya.

"My turn" said Jessica, "who will I marry?" She asked. No answer again. There are few rules to this game. There are many questions that should never be asked. And then after so many questions we were getting tired. So we decided to finish.

"Thank you so much for coming. You can leave now" It moved from right to left. Again. And again. Okay.. I'm getting scared now.

"Can you please leave now?" but it kept swinging. We were looking at each others faces. Jessica screamed "please leave" and stood up leaving our hands. She was terrified.

"Jess calm down!" said Priya. Omg we must not show our fears during the game. "Jess sit down, we'll be fine" I said her. And the pointer stoped moving.

"Are you still here?" - no movement. Guess it's over now..

"Jeez girl! Stop being paranoid. You know it will get us into trouble" I scolded her.

"I'm really sorry guys.. " she said.

"It's fine. No worries. We're fine" assured Priya.

It did feel fine. But I felt something uneasy at the pit of my stomach. But i didn't want to scare them more than they already are. Well I hope it's over too.

"I think we had enough fun for the day. I need some time to rest, I'll get going then" I said.

"Yup. I'm leaving too. Bye guys" said Jessica.

"Alright guys, stay safe" said Priya.

"See you guys" I walked back to home.
