They sat there in silence for what seemed like forever. Finally Rory broke the silence.
"Mom?"
"Yeah kid?" Lorelai said looking straight forward.
"Are you going to say anything?"
"I'm not really sure what to say" Lorelai confessed
"Anything would be nice."
Lorelai looked at her daugther. Twice the age of herself when she pregnant.
"Who?" Was all Lorelai could get to come out. She looked at Rory, and the look on her face was the answer.
"Logan." They both said together.
"Does he know?" Lorelai asked, now turning her body towards Rory.
"No. I am still processing this myself. I am going to tell him. This just doesn't seem like a phone call or text kind of conversation." The look on Rorys face made it clear how she was feeling. Lorelai put her arm around Rorys shoulder pulling her in.
"We've got this kid. We'll figure it out."

The second wedding was beautiful. Rory watched at how happy her mother was. All of a sudden she felt the presence of someone beside her.
"I can't believe someone willingly married Luke."
Rory laughed. Some things never changed.
"Would it kill you to be nice one day of your life Jess?"
"Probably." He said as he took the seat beside her. He set a drink in front of her. She pushed it away lightly.
"What's the matter Gilmore, not sophisticated enough for you?" He said teasingly.
Rory looked at him and shook her head.
"Rory?" Jess asked.
"Yeah Jess?" Rory answered looking at him.
He looked at her face, and decided against asking what he wanted to.
"Wanna get outta here?"
She looked back at her mother who looked and smiled at her. Guests were clearing out.
"Sure."
They walked awkwardly side by side for a few blocks. Rory shivered so Jess took his jacket off and gave it to her. After she out it on he put his arm around her shoulders.
They were standing by the lake, and Rory put her head on his shoulder. He smelt her hair. It was a familiar aroma. He kissed her head before he realized what he was doing.
"Jess.." Before she could finnish he interrupted her.
"I... I'mm sorry. It just felt.."
They began walking again. This time towards Luke and Lorelais house. He walked her to thr door. Rory went to take off his coat.
"Keep it." He said, then left without another word.
Rory closed the door and reached for her phone. She couldn't take it anymore.
Ring.....ring....ring...
"Hello" a woman's voice answered Logan's phone. Rory was going to hang up, "hold on, Logans right here."
She knew it wasnt Odette, the woman didn't have an accent.
"Rory?" He answered.
"Logan. We need to talk."
She heard a door shut, and the sound of her mother and Luke's voices.
"Ace, this sounds serious."
"That's because it is. Can we meet?"
"Rory?" Lorelai called
"Just tell me when and where, Ace."
Rory hung up. She didn't think her mother would have told Luke.
"In here" Rory called from the kitchen.
Her phone buzzed in her hand.
'Ace?' From Logan.
Rory decided not to respond.
"We're going to head to bed"
"Night."
"Night kid."
She heard their footsteps up the stairs. Rorys phone buzzed again.
'Rory?' From Logan again.
'I'll come to you' Rory thought she sent but the sending failed. And she went to bed.

Rory woke up. Her phone screen showed 5 unread messages. And 10 missed calls
'Rory, seriously whats going on?'
'Okay, I am on my way to the airport'
'Catching the next flight'
'I hope you're okay'
'Leaving now'
The last message was recieved at 3am.
Rory left her room, and Lorelai was in the kitchen.
"Mom?" Lorelai looked up "Logan is on his way here."
"Is that a good or a bad thing?" Lorelai answered sipling her coffee.
"Good I hope"

"Hello?" Rory answered her phone.
"Ace."
Rory gave Logan the name of a coffee shop in Hartford.
She sat there, staring at the door.
Tap, tap, tap. Nervously tapping her pen against the table. She looked down for a second. Then she felt his presence.
Rory looked up and seen him standing right in front of her.
"Sit." Rory said to him. He did as she said.
"Ace."
"No. I talk." Rory interrupted him. After a few moments of silence she continued. "Logan. I've been doing a lot of thinking. I know you're engaged, and the dynastic plan is to marry Odette. But. Is there any way to change that plan?"
"I suppose, with the right plan B." Logan smiled at her.
Rory wasn't amused. "Ace, any contingency plan that includes you, is one I'm game for."
Rorys eyes filled with tears.
"Ace, it's always been you."

Ring...ring...
"Hello?" Lorelai answered her phone in bed
"Mom?"
"Yes?"
"I need you."
"Rory, where are you?" Lorelai was sitting up in her bed, shaking Luke awake.

Lorelai found herself in front of her parents house. She got out of the jeep.
"Officers." Lorelai said walking up to the two officers in the driveway passing Rory in the back of their car"What seems to be the issue?"
"Who are you?" The chubby short one asked.
"I am Lorelai Gilmore. My mother owns this house." She got out her ID.
"We caught this young lady trying to break in. We can't get ahold of Mrs. Gilmore."
"That's my daughter." Lorelai informed them. The tall skinny officer walked over to the car and let Rory out.
"I am sorry for the inconvenience."
After they pulled out of thr driveway Lorelai looked at Rory.
"What are you doing?"
"I don't really know." Rory explained, "I couldn't find my key and they thought I was breaking in."
Lorelai put her arm around Rory as they walked to her car. "How'd it go with Logan?"
"He's on his way to break it off with Odette."
"Just like that? You're pregnant and so that makes him decide to leave her?" Lorelai asked.
Rory turned to Lorelai and leaned against her car. "Not exactly." She took in a deep breathe. "I haven't told him."
"Rory...."
"Mom, I didn't want him to feel obligated to be with me. So, I just told him I wanted to be with him to see how he would react."
Lorelai thought about it for a second. "I knew I raised you right kid."

The next few days were silence from Logan. Rory knew he would get ahold of her when he was able to.
Her phone buzzed in her hand. It was a number she didn't recognize.
"Rory Gilmore." She answered.
"Rory, Mitchum. Mitchum Huntzberger."
Rory was silent for a moment. "Yes, Mitchum?"
"Rory, let's do lunch."
"I don't think that's.."
"Save it Rory. I know about you and Logan. I've known since I ran into you two in London. He never was able to quit you."
Rory didn't know what to say, so she agreed to meet him for lunch in New York.
