The machine rumbled along the wastes for ten days. Talno attempted to communicate with the driver and learn their destination but everything he said flew over her head. By the third day Talno had given up, and spent his time staring out the window and playing with Twinkie. For the sixth day Talno used a sharp point on his gun to doodle on the dash board. On the eighth day the woman gave Talno a deck of cards to prevent him from vandalizing her vehicle again. Then finally, on the tenth day Talno looked forwards to marvel at an immense city, with massive buildings reaching to the sky. The machine pulled into a massive, hangar like garage filled with hundreds of these machines. Talno grabbed his belongings and jumped out of the vehicle Twinkie followed in suite and they left the woman tied up in the vehicle, as they wandered between the rows of machines towering above them.
