The Lucky Ones

Chapter 1

I am Harper Thompson. I am a wife to a handsome husband named Alex and I have 3 kids named Michael, Samuel, and Cierra. We also have beloved cat named Lucy. Growing up I lived in Jacksonville, with the dream of becoming a cardiovascular surgeon. Oddly enough my dream came true. My family and I live in a 4,500 square foot house in Baltimore. Alex and I work at Johns Hopkins hospital as I a cardiovascular surgeon and Alex a general surgeon. We met each other at Johns Hopkins University as students and the rest is history. My oldest Michael is 9 and is into football and skating with his friends. My middle child Samuel, who is 5, loves legos and shooting me with nerf guns. My baby Cierra is 2 and her favorite thing to do is screaming in stores and throwing stuff at me when she doesn't get what she wants. She reminds me a lot of myself sometimes.
