Heads and Hearts

Not having band was odd but having some random blonde guy give me nose bleed just by staring? Now that was just plain weird. It hasn't happened since but he always ends up on the same team as me, always. There's something different about him, I just know. I've tried to get to know him but Kaine always ends up in the way which doesn't annoy me at all.

On the first day we played soccer, yippie. I was on Landon's team and it was our turns to sit off so we did. I sat on the bench and watched Kaine and his team begin to play.

"Hey" he said as he sat down next to me followed by the blonde girl who was standing next to him the day before. I ignored his voice and my thoughts carried me from soccer and to the many possiblites ahead.

"Hi" i heard a voice pierce through my thoughts. Like a pin popping a ballon, i was dragged out of my thinking. I looked Landon in the eye and then my eyes were guided back down to the floor. "Hi" i responded as monotoned as i could. This kid was a mystery that all i wanted to do was stay away from but something inside of me wanted to know Landon's life story, his secrets and why the hell he made my nose bleed by just looking at me. I wondered if he was also a diverse but when i first met Kaine nothing happened. It was strange and i wanted to know more.

I looked at him and he had his head turned to the game that was being played. I stared at his face for a bit until people started to notice and i stopped. I stared at my feet until the buzzer rang to signal the team switching. I stood up and immediately sat back down. My head felt like it was 100 pounds and my legs couldn't carry it.
"You ok?" Kaine asked as he sat on the bench. I held my head and didn't move. When i looked up time was frozen. Kaine had one of his arms around my back and the other seemed to have done the time stopping. My head was felt light again but my body didn't. I looked around the gym and my eyes landed on a particular set of eyes; Landons. He was staring at me. My mind and body had two different motives. My body wanted to stay but my mind forced my body to move and move over to Landon. I tapped his head with one hand and in an instant i was on the ground.
"Bellamy!" I heard Kaine shout as time restarted, moving back in time a few seconds. The last thing I remember was Kaine and Landon's faces and bodies over mine.........

"I think she's awake"

"We don't know that yet"

"Her eyes are opening"

"Ugh finally, i have class to go to"

"Em, shut up"

"Then you shut up to Ash"

"Both of your quiet down!"

"Oh boy, K's mad"

I heard a groan eyes my eyes fluttered open.

"There, she's awake. Can i go?" Emily said in her usual snarky attitude.

"Yes Em you can go" Asher said rolling his eyes as Emily walked out of the room, her heels clicking on the marble tiles.

I saw Kaines face above mine, his face smiling making the whole world seem happy and joyful.

"H-hey..." i said softly and he put his hand over my mouth signaling my to be quiet without saying it.

"How is she?" I forth voice said from across the room.

"She's just waking up" Asher said and walked closer to me. "Hello love" he said and placed a kiss on my forehead. Even though he doesn't a have an British accent, the words felt as if he did. I smiled and looked at Kaine's expression which was not a pleasant one.

The forth voice was now known to me as being Landons. As Asher moved closer I saw his face looking at me with a concerned look on his face which then turned to a slight smile when he saw me awake.

"All of you, out!" The nurse yelled from the door and the three boys all left, last one out the door was Asher and he left only because Kaine pulled him away from me which made me laugh slightly.

"So Ms. Bellamy, how are your powers doing?" The nurse asked and i looked at her shocked. She must have seen my reaction because the next words our of her mouth were: "yes i know. I'm the only non-diverse that you're parents trust with their secret. I'm not that read up on this subject as you can imagine, do any of your friends know more about this then you and I?" She asked and i took a second to think.

"Ya....." I responded still thinking.

"Which one would you like to help you?" I thought for a minute. I like Kaine better but Asher's older and might know more.....

"Asher...." i said and slightly regreted it but i knew it was the right choice.

The nurse nodded and walk out of the room. I looked around and saw that i was in the nurses office at school and that the lights her dimmed. I felt a wet cloth on my forehead and a brace around my right wrist. What happened? It was confusing at first then it all came back to me.

The door opened once again and Asher and the nurse walked in. Asher sat beside my bed and took my braced hand in his and kisses to the top of it.

"You two make a cute couple" the nurse said.

"We aren't a couple" I answered but Asher had a differet throught in mind.
"Not yet at least" he whispered in my ear and his voice made me shiver. "So what seems to be the problem?" He asked putting one of his hands onto my forehead.

"I don't remember much..... I was in gym, standing up and I collapsed" I answered looking up at him. His face was blank like he was thinking. He removed his hand from my forehead and moved it down to my neck and chest area. I flinched but i relaxed quickly knowing he wouldn't hurt me.

"Your abilities are too strong for you to handle, which is odd considering you've had them since birth. Your head and your heart along with your abilities are disconnected and....." he paused as he hovered his hand over to left side of my chest.
"And what?" I asked nervously awaiting his answer.

"And well....... Someone is stealing your heart, literally"
