"Have you got a scent yet?" Stiles asked for the 100th time in the last thirty minutes."No." I spat, trying to keep it together. The only thing I wanted to do was rip the boy's throat open. But I didn't.
"Wait," Derek said. "Do you hear that?"
I stopped walking and listened. The weak sound of a cry was heard.
"What is it?" Stiles asked. I growled at him angrily.
I ran towards the sound and saw a figure lying on the ground.
Scott only had his boxers on and was crying weakly. I figured it was his first transformation by how miserable he was.
I ran up to him and turned his body towards me.
"Scott." I whispered calmly. He opened his eyes and stopped crying when he saw me.
"Malia." he whispered. I smiled and nodded.
"Scott!" I heard Stiles shout from behind me.
"Stiles." Scott whimpered. Jeez. These two were more than friends.
I helped Scott to get up and Stiles wrapped his arms around his friend's body.
"I was so worried." Stiles told him. They got out of their embrace and turned towards me.
"Thank you Malia." they said in sync. Okay that was creepy.
"What about me?" Derek said. Scott's eyes widened when he saw him.
"Dud that's Derek Hale." he whispered to his friend.
"Ya he's Malia's cousin." Stiles said.
"That actually explains a lot." Scott nodded.
"What the fuck!"
--
"Where did you two go?" mom spat when we went back home.
"We saved Scott McCall." Derek said, walking towards the guest's bedroom.
"You what?" dad asked.
"That human boy wanted us to save Scott," I started, "and you know you should be glad because they boy trusts me now. I guess." I answered.
"She's right." dad defended. I smiled and mom sighed.
"Next time, tell me." she said. I nodded and went up to my room.
--
"Malia!" Stiles called from his locker. I rolled my eyes and turned towards him.
"What?" I spat.
"Hello. I just wanted to thank you personally. Not everyone would jump out of their window to save some stranger." he said, blushing and looking down. I took in his appearance. His hair was imperfectly perfect and a trail of beauty marks decorated his left cheek. His hazel eyes looked up to mine and he smiled. I don't know why, but I smiled back.
"Ya, of course." I said. His face lit up and he started talking to me.
"So what class do you have next? Do you want to have lunch with me? Or with the others too if you'd like-"
"Stiles! Clam down." I said. This guy was more hyped than my parents on Halloween.
"Yeah sorry. What class do you have right now?" he asked, looking away from me.
"Math." I said before gaging. He chuckled.
"I suppose you don't like math." he said.
"No not at all." I answered.
I smelled an odd perfume and heard the sound of high heels coming up to us.
"What are you love birds talking about?" the redhead from the other day asked, stepping in front of us. I heard Stiles' heartbeat increase and understood, he had a crush on her. A bitter feeling possessed me. Not jealous, more like protective. It felt weird.
"We were just talking about math." I spat. The redhead looked surprised by my harshness but smiled.
"How lovely. Do you need help or anything?" she asked. I swear to god she was so annoying to me at this moment.
"Yeah if you need help I could help you." Stiles said.
"I don't need help! I just hate it." I defended. They both raised their hands in innocence and walked into the classroom.
--
"Malia how the hell did you manage to get the answer of number 4? I'm the best at math and I got it wrong." Stiles said. Humans were so annoying with their complains.
"Coyotes are smart Stiles. Smarter than all of you, for many reasons. But the most important one is that we learn to live and figure out things on our own. And maybe I got it right 'cause I'm just smart, period." I said. Stiles' mouth fell agape and he tried to think of something to say to protest but kept his mouth shut.
"But why doesn't Scott have supernatural intelligence than?" Stiles finally asked. I chuckles sarcastically.
"First of all ; that's borderline mean ! Second of all; I never mentioned supernatural intelligence." I answered.
"But you said coyotes are smarter." he argued.
He was even more stupid than I thought. And more annoying.
"I was born a coyote. Try to picture it. See Scott as ill. He got bitten, which means it's not in his blood. Well, technically it is but you know what I meant. So his powers are weaker than mine. And I'm more a coyote than he is a wolf. Get it?"
Stiles hummed in comprehension than smiled.
"Eating with someone at lunch?" he asked, leaning against the locker next to mine.
I shook my head.
"Eat with me." he proposed.
I felt a warm feeling in chest and nodded against my will. It was like I had to, without wanting to.
He grinned idiotically at my answer and ran to his locker.
--
"So Malia, where are you from?" he asked.
I thought of my answer. I didn't really know. Since my family and I were fugitives, we never stayed at the same location for a long time.
"I don't really know. My parents moved when I was little, I don't remember." I shrugged. I didn't really feel like telling him my parents were the most wanted criminals in the entire world.
"Oh. Well I assume you just moved here, I would have noticed you before, so where did you live?"
I swear to god his questions were annoying me so much I wanted to punch his throat.
"New-Jersey." I answered. He smiled.
"So you're probably a Mets fan." he grinned. I indeed liked this baseball team. I nodded.
His grin got larger and he bit into his sandwich.

Short chapter I know! And I'm sorry my update was very very slow but I have an excuse.
So recently I got an audition for a competitive dance troupe and I have seven to eight hours per week, after school. So I don't have much time to do homework or write. So I'm very very sorry and I will try to update more. But during April and May I'll be in competitions almost every weekend so I don't know how I'm gonna manage to fit writing in.
On a more positive note: I'm writing a small bonus chapter live! It's about a scene from this chapter but from a different point of view and it's going to be very important. And also some explaining about impregnation and other stuff.
So than you for reading and of you're confused about an event or anything at all just ask me and I'll be pleased to anse
