I wake up to my alarm at 11:30. Shaking myself from sleep, I get up and start to put on my "boy clothes." I quickly yank off my pjs and pull on some baggy jeans, a chest binder, a t-shirt, a hoodie and some plain black Nikes. I quietly speed walk to the bathroom to sharpen and make my face look more masculine with some makeup magic.

After quickly and carefully doing that, I push my fringe out of my eyes and pull on a beanie. I go back to my room and search for my voice changer. After finding it in my bedside table, I grab my phone and keys and quietly walk down stairs. I stop dead in my tracks when I see Damon on the couch watching TV. He turns around and looks at me.

"What are you doing up? And why are you dressed like that? Wait, are you driving for Ricky tonight?" He fires off question after question.

"1) I gonna drive for Ricky. 2) I'm dressed like this so I don't get hurt." I answer back.

His face twists with worry. "Please be careful, Teagan."

"I will." I nod. I turn back towards the door and leave the house. I get in my car and make my way to the address on my phone.

Once I make it there, I see that a party is going on... Great.

I put the car in park and get out. I take my phone out and text Ricky.

Who am I supposed to pick up?

My phone pings, letting me know I got a text.

I think you know him. He goes to school with you. Gunner Wilder.   -Ricky

My eyes widen and I feel dread creep into the pit of my stomach.

Sighing, I shove my hands into my pocket along with my phone. I lower my head and walk into the house party that was still raging. What kind of person throws a party on a Monday night? Shaking my head, I shove my way through the crowded teenage bodies. I finally make my way to the beer pong table and spot Gunner. I walk up to him, dread and butterflies filling my stomach.

"Gunner Wilder? I'm here to take you home. " I say, my voice changer deepening my voice.

He turns his head to look at me. "Oh, alright. Thanks, man." He holds his hand out to me. For I'm guessing a guy bro hug/shake. I grab his and and, of course, he pulls me into that bro hug/handshake. I roughly pat his shoulder as he does mine. We let go and he turns to his friends to say goodbye.

"Hey, guys, gotta go. I need to go home and get some sleep before that douche of a dad finds out I snuck out. " He turns to me and starts walking to th front door.

Pushing my way through, I accidentally make a guy spill his drink on himself. The guy roughly grabs my shoulder. Lets call him Jerk.

"Hey, what the heck?! Who do you think you are?!" Jerk yells in my face. My eyes widen in shock.

"I didn't mean to, man. It was an accident. " I say, holding my hands up. He roughly pushes me. Now I'm getting aggravated... I push him back.

He throws a punch at me, I catch his fist and twist his arm. He let's out a yelp of pain. I push him to the ground. He jumps up and grabs my neck and accidentally yanks off my voice changer, breaking it in the process. Crap.

I grab his arm and flip him over my shoulder and back away before turning to leave the house. Once I turn around, I see Gunner looking at me with curiosity. Shrugging, I push past everyone and go outside to my waiting car. Gunner follows shortly after.

"What school do you go to?" He asks once he stops by my car. I clear my throat and physically deepen my voice.

"I'm homeschooled." I say, turning away and getting in my car. He gets in the passenger seat.

"What's wrong with your voice?" he asks.

"Cold." I answer, flatly.

"Ah." I see him nod out of the corner of my eye.

"Address?" I ask, again, flatly.

"67 Red Crest Way." I nod at his answer, telling him I got it.

The rest of the ride is quiet. I pull up to his house and put it in park. He turns to me.

"Thanks again, man. " he says.

"No problem, Gunner." my voice cracks, my normal voice peeking through. I clear my throat as he gets out. As he does so, my phone rings. Frick.

"Hey, Damon." I say in my normal voice, causing Gunner to stop before he closes the door and stare at me. I stare out the windshield.

"Where are you, Teagan?" He asks, a little irritated.

"Sorry, I got a little held up. I'm dropping him off right now."

"Then why are you using your normal voice?"

"My voice changer broke when some douche yanked it off. Yes, yes, I got into a minor fight. He's the one that pushed me first." I say, exasperated.

"Fine. Get home soon." I sigh after he hangs up.

"Would you please explain why you suddenly sound like a girl?" Gunner says from the passenger side. I snap my neck towards him. I narrow my eyes and reach over to slam the car door shut. I put the car in drive and drive away.

Great, just fluffing great...

I get home without any problems and walk inside, tired.

"About time." says Damon, his arms crossed.

"Sor-ry... I didn't have any control over the situation." I go upstairs and change back into my pjs and wash the makeup off my face. I walk back into my room and fall face first onto my bed, falling asleep almost immediately.

I drive down a dark road in the bad part of town. My eyes dart across the road, scanning. I start to feel dread in the very pit of my stomach.

I pull over and put the car in park.
"Is this the place?" I ask, nervously.

I look into the rearview mirror to see the dark figure nodding his head. How did I know it was a male? It was the vibe I was getting from him.

I wait for him to get out, but he doesn't.

"Erm... Are you waiting for someone?" I say, a bad feeling spreading through my limbs.

I go to look up into the rearview mirror when a hand covers my mouth and he pulls me into the back by my long black hair.

I shoot straight up in my bed, shivering and gasping. Hot tears continue to roll down my face. I look at my clock.

6:30 am.

Time for school.
