The water rushed up my combat gear, Giving me a harsh chill as I awoke, Salt covered my face from the tide. I layed there, I was scared the Russian's were still there, So I inched forward abit, Seeing just over the small hill covering me, Bodys scattered all over the beach, The landing craft up in flames and visual mark of the huge explosion, The crater must of been almost 8 feet deep, No getting out once you were in. A scream came from ahead, I cocked my head to the side listening, Until another scream pierced the cold air. I slowly got up, No gunfire was heard, I kept moving getting closer until I realised it wasn't a Allied scream, A Russian had been crushed by some rubble, He was yelling but none of his other comrades were alive, And I was not that cold hearted. I walked over, Taking his knife from his hand. Lifting the rock, Struggling to move it away, Soon it dropped off his leg and I let my hand out for him to get up, He took my hand and got up, Nodding. I did the same and both went seperate ways.
