Of Love and Misadventure: A lauren cimorelli Story

NINE ○ CHRIS' POV

It's been two weeks now since I and Lauren started constantly hanging out with each other. We have been together almost everyday of our lives. I get to know her more, I started to realize what are the things that she likes and her dislikes, we have told each other's stories from our past. Little by little, we are getting closer to each other. And even though we talk 24/7, im still interested in her. I want to make more memories worth keeping with her.

Friday.
Dani invited me to come over with their group of friends for a bonfire party, camping and late night roadtrips. She told me that it will be Lisa, her and Lauren with a group of strangers I don't know. I didn't think twice, I told her that I would love to come with them. She teased me that I just wanted to come because Lauren is going to be there. Well, actually, that's the reason. I just made an excuse saying that I wanted to make friends.

I wore an army green bomber jacket, beige long tee, ripped jeans, and my yeezys. I decided not to bring a bag, I just bring 20 bucks with me and my phone.

At 6 pm, I went to the cim's. I have realized that there's a van parked outside. As I further inspect, I have realized that it's Lisa's. I fix my hair right after I rang the doorbell. Lisa welcomed me. I saw 2 guys sitting on the couch, Dani beside with a girl. I wonder where Lauren is. Lisa introduced me to the 2 guys.
"Guys! Meet Chris!" They both stood up "CHRIS, meet Kevin" A blonde gave me a handshake "and clark" the guy with a brown hair followed.
"Sup bro?" Kevin asked me as they sit.
"Gold, man!" I replied smirking.
Dani gestured me to sit beside her, I did.
"Chris, I wanted you to meet this ugly bitch" the girl elbowed Dani giving me a smile. She fixed her hair."Marian" Dani continued. "And Marian, this is Chris" I saw Dani' s eyebrows raising up and down with a big smile on her face. She is such a goof. I shook Marian's hands.

After 10 minutes or so, 2 more girls came in. As expected, Dani introduced me to them.
"CHRIS! CHRIS! COME HERE!" Dani shouted with excitement. I stood up as I walk towards the main door to meet her friends.
"Sooooo.. This one's meghan" The girl leaned over for a cheek to cheek. "Nice meeting you!" I replied as I smile at her. Dani continued "and this is elli!" She gave me a cheek to cheek as well, "and you too!" I told elli with a smile on my face. Suddenly, lauren walk down. Her eyes sparkled when she saw me. "CHRIS!" lauren shouted, she must be surprised that im here. I fixed my hair and looked at her saying "Hey!" I gave her a smirk. "Oh, I invited him, I forgot to tell you oops!" Dani told lauren. Lauren said hi to their friends. Afterwards, we drove off. Lauren told me to take a ride with her. She brought a car, Elli and meghan was with us while Dani, Marian, Lisa, Kevin and Clark took Lisa's van. The whole ride was kind off awkward since theyve been talking about things that I have no idea with until lauren decided to change the topic and told the girls stories about how we met. I stopped myself from being a wallflower and tried my best to socialize with them. I guess im doing well since I made them laugh.

Once we got to the camping site, We head over the these logs (as seats) and the boys decided to lit up the bonfire. I sat between lauren and Marian. After an hour of short stories and catching up, Clark bring out a coleman with alcoholic drinks on it. He opened one and handed it over to Kevin, Lisa, Marian, Meghan, Elli, Lauren (She refused), Dani and Me (I refused since I don't drink.). Lisa called lauren and I was left with marian. I saw lauren sit down beside Lisa and Kevin, she was just right in front of me. The whole night, Marian was with me. I felt really uncomfortable with it.

Marian: Hey! I didn't know youre a skater!
Chris: Howd you know? (I tried to sound jolly)
M: Dani told me you and lauren met because of skateboarding
C: (I smirked as I thought of that insane moment) Oh! Yeah! Its actually an insane story
M:(she drinks from her bottle) tell me about it!
C: Alright then.. I was cruising on my skateboarding as I try this trick (I fixed my hair) and then suddenly I fell down on the ground-
M: (She cut me from my story) Oh god! Was it bad??
C: IT WAS! Like really bad, I couldnt feel my knees. I totally freaked out when I saw blood on my pants, My mom would kill me! (I was smiling)
M: (She giggled) what happened next?? (She sounded very interested of what im going to say)
C: until lauren came out asking me if im okay. At first, I thought - I WAS TOTALLY BLEEDING YET SHE ASKED ME IF IM OKAY!? (We both laughed) Its insane really! And then she helped me out as she take me to her house
M: Why didnt she take you to your house?! (She emphasized 'your house' as her shoulder lift up)
C: i totally dont know! But im thankful about it since my parents was out that time.
M: Oh! Maybe she knew. Or maybe she's just in a panic! Lauren panics a lot!
C: really?! Maybe she paniced.. moving on, I remember when she came out, I was really crying but i hide it
M: (she giggled) really!?
C: Yes!! It was really funny because i was freaking out when I saw her standing right in front of me and I was so like tears get up! Tears get up!
M: (she gigled and looked at me) youre fun!
C: I know (I winked at her)
M: Stop doing that! (She sakd smiling as she drinks from her bottle)
C: Why not?
M: you look cute! (I was flattered)
C: Thank you, miss! (I winked at her again)
M: (she pushed me a little chuckling)
